Las Vegas 51s 6, Fresno Grizzlies 1 Box Score
- Gavin Cecchini SS: 1 for 3, Run, HR, RBI, 2 BB, K
- T.J. Rivera LF: 2 for 4, 2B, 3 RBIs, BB, K
- Dominic Smith 1B: 0 for 3, BB
- Josh Rodriguez DH: 2 for 4, Run, K
Cecchini’s bat has come around after a slow start and he also played SS due to Rosario’s day off. Interestingly enough, Cecchini played SS and not Reynolds. Josh Rodriguez has also hit well since coming back to the Mets organization.
- RHP Donovan Hand (1-2, 7.16 ERA): 6 IP, 7 H, ER, BB, 5 K
- RHP Logan Taylor (0-0, 5.06 ERA): 1 IP, H, 2 K
- RHP Kevin McGowan (1-0, 1.00 ERA): 2 IP, H, 6 K
Hand was great last night for Las Vegas. He recorded his first win of the season after two rough starts. McGowan was electric out of the pen last night. He could be the next man up for the MLB bullpen.
Portland Sea Dogs (7-4) 2, Binghamton Rumble Ponies (5-6) 0 Box Score
- David Thompson 3B: 1 for 4, K
- Kevin Taylor DH: 1 for 3, BB
- Luis Guillorme SS: 1 for 4, 2B, K
Not much offense for the Rumble Ponies in this one. They only mustered 5 hits in the game. Stud defensive SS, Luis Guillorme, recorded another hit though. He has reached base safely in every game thus far.
- LHP P.J. Conlon (2-0, 2.13 ERA): 6 IP, 3 H, BB, 6 K
- RHP Alberto Baldonado (0-0, 0.00 ERA): 2 IP, 3 H, K
- RHP Corey Taylor (0-2, 6.75 ERA): 2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, K
Conlon continued his strong season and unlike this year, he is striking out more people. Baldonado continues to build on his strong stint from last season at St. Lucie. Taylor has not been at his sharpest in the young season.
St. Lucie Mets (7-6) 10, Dunedin Blue Jays (6-7) 5 F/11 Box Score
- Anthony Dimino 3B: 3 for 5, BB, K
- Wuilmer Becerra DH: 1 for 5, 3B, 2 RBIs, BB, 2 K
- Patrick Mazeika C: 2 for 4, Run, 2 RBIs, BB
- Jhoan Urena 1B: 2 for 3, 2 Runs, HR, 3 RBIs, 3 BB
Urena continues to be a bright spot for St. Lucie, hopefully he could be breaking out at last. Dimino playing third could happen more due to Mazeika’s strong offense from catcher. Becerra’s extra base hit is starting to show up more often which is a great sign for the young outfielder.
- RHP Andrew Church (0-2, 4.40 ERA): 4.2 IP, 11 H, 5 R, 4 ER, BB, 2 K
- RHP Darwin Ramos (0-0, 1.93 ERA): 2.2 IP, 2 BB, 4 K
- RHP Cameron Griffin (0-0, 0.00 ERA): 1.2 IP, H, BB, 3 K
- RHP Johnny Magliozzi (2-1, 5.00 ERA): 1 IP, K
- RHP Justin Brantley (0-0, 0.00 ERA): 1 IP, BB, K
Church has yet to find his footing at St. Lucie after dominating in Columbia last season. Ramos has struggled as a starter but has been pitching well as a reliever thus far for St. Lucie. Reliever, Tyler Bashlor, went on the D.L before the day.
Columbia FireFlies (8-5) 8, Rome Braves (9-4) 3 Box Score
- Desmond Lindsay CF: 1 for 3, Run, 2B, RBI, 2 BB, K

- Reed Gamache 3B: 1 for 4, 2 Runs, HR, 4 RBIs
- Milton Ramos SS: 3 for 4, 2 Runs, RBI
Lindsay has shown signs of waking up at the plate as he recorded a hit for the third straight game. Reed Gamache had a Grand Slam in the 7th inning. Catching prospect Ali Sanchez has struggled thus far, hitting .152/.200/.152. This one ended after 7 due to rain.
- RHP Harol Gonzalez (1-1, 5.63 ERA): 6.1 IP, 3 ER, BB, 5 K
- RHP Max Kuhns (0-0, 3.86 ERA): 0.2 IP, K
Gonzalez was solid after struggling in his first start. Kuhns only needed to record 2 outs to secure the game for Columbia due to the rain.
