Luke Ritter slashed a double down the right-field line giving Syracuse an early 1-0 lead in the first inning on Tuesday evening.. It was Ritter’s sixth double and 33 RBI in 63 games in Triple-A. The 26-year-old slugger also drew a walk in the contest.

In the bottom of the sixth inning with the game tied a one, Ronny Mauricio led off the inning and drilled a triple in the gap. Brett Baty stepped up to the dish and clubbed a two-run shot over the right field fence, giving Syracuse a 3-1 advantage. Mauricio notched his 51st extra-base hit and drew a pair of walks. Baty went 2-for-4 and has slugged four homers, with 13 RBIs, and posted a 1.053 OPS in 45 plate appearances since his return to Triple-A Syracuse.

The Mets went on to win 5-4 on a walk-off RBI double from infielder Wyatt Young.

José Butto allowed three runs over six innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Bisons. Butto fanned six and issued three walks in the outing. The 25-year-old hurler is 1-1 with a 2.70 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and 14/6 K/BB ratio over 16 2/3 frames in his last three starts.

DOUBLE-A

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (58-56) 5, New Hampshire Fisher Cats (53-59) 2

The Rumble Ponies belted three home runs against the Fisher Cats. The first came from Jeremiah Jackson leading off the second inning when he launched a solo shot into the left-field seats. It was the 23-year-old infielder’s third home run since joining the Mets organization, and he also extended his hit streak to seven games.

Later in the inning, 23-year-old outfielder Agustin Ruiz swatted a three-run bomb to put Binghamton up 4-0. Ruiz added a walk and the homer was his 15th of the season.

Drew Gilbert clobbered a solo shot in the fifth inning to put Binghamton up 5-0. Gilbert came over in the Justin Verlander trade and is off to a torrid start with the Rumble Ponies. The 22-year-old outfielder is slashing .333/.397/.550 with three homers, 12 RBIs, and a .947 OPS in 16 games

Blade Tidwell took the mound for Binghamton Tuesday evening, and the 22-year-old hurler continues to shine this season. Tidwell threw five scoreless frames with six punchouts and did not issue a walk. He generated 13 swings and misses on 87 pitches thrown. The 2022 second-round pick has 132 strikeouts in 102 innings pitched across two minor league levels.

HIGH-A

Asheville Tourists (46-64) 10, Brooklyn Cyclones (56-58) 9

Jett Williams had another big night for the Brooklyn Cyclones. He blasted a solo dinger in the first inning and came up to bat later in the frame, adding a two-run single in Brooklyn’s six-run inning. The 19-year-old homered for the third straight game and finished 2-for-4 with a walk and three RBIs. Williams is hitting .323./470./.615 with four homers, nine RBIs, seven doubles, and seven stolen bags in 83 plate appearances since his promotion to High-A.

Outfielder Stanley Consuegra smacked a three-run shot in the first for his 17th long ball of the season. The 22-year-old slugger has hit six home runs in his last 15 contests.

The Cyclones bullpen had a meltdown in the ninth inning as they surrendered five runs blowing a 9-5 lead, and gave the Tourists a 10-9 walkoff victory.

Jordany Ventura permitted four runs on six hits over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision. Ventura also walked four batters during the outing. The 23-year-old right-hander generated 14 swings and misses on 95 pitches and recording five punchouts.

LOW-A

St. Lucie Mets (40-74) 6, Lakeland Flying Tigers (53-62) 2

Leadoff hitter Diego Mosquera drove in a pair of runs with a two-out base knock in the second inning for the St. Lucie Mets on Tuesday. Mosquera also  added another base hit in the fifth. The 19-year-old infielder has reached safely in his last eight contests. He is 9-for-34 with two extra-base hits, four RBIs, and four walks during that span.

Vincent Perozo smacked an RBI double in the eighth for his 17 two-bagger. The 20-year-old catcher collected three hits in four plate appearances and is hitting .421 in his last six games.

Designated hitter Yeral Martinez hit the ball hard and tallied two hits in the game. The 20-year-old lefty swinger connected with a single in the second inning with an exit velocity of 108.7 MPH. This month, Martinez is slashing .302/.375/.395 in 48 plate appearances.

Right-hander Jonah Tong was making his St. Lucie Mets debut. Tong fanned the game’s first four batters and had six strikeouts in three shutout innings. The 20-year-old hurlers strikeouts per nine is at an astounding 18.4 across 15 2/3 innings.

FLORIDA COMPLEX LEAGUE

The FCL Mets closed the regular season out with a dominant pitching performance as six pitchers combined to toss a one-hit shutout. The Mets will play a one-game semifinal against the FCL Braves on Thursday at noon.

Yonatan Henriquez opened the scoring in the ballgame blasting a solo homer in the first inning. It was the first dinger of the season for the 18-year-old switch hitter. Henriquez is hitting .364 with seven RBIs and two walks in his last five games.

2023 first-round pick Colin Houck recorded his first extra-base hit and multi-hit game as a Met. Houck smacked a triple into right field in the first. The 18-year-old infielder also singled and scored a run in the contest. He has a .389 OBP in nine games.

Recent draft picks right-hander Austin Troesser (fourth round) and right-hander Jack Wenninger (sixth round) made their professional debuts on Tuesday. Both pitchers tossed a scoreless inning. Troesser racked up three punchouts, and Wenninger struck out a batter.
