Flexen made his first start of the season for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, after two with the St. Lucie Mets. Flexen was outstanding with a seven inning complete game shutout. After starting the season on the DL, Flexen has pitched to a 1.37 ERA in 19.2 innings.

Every hitter in the Fireflies line-up had at least a hit as they all combined to collect twelve hits. Sanchez and Lindsay both struggled at the plate in the early season, but have come around as Sanchez has hit .313 over his last ten and Lindsay .324 over that same span.

Merandy Gonzalez threw another scoreless outing, as his tied his teammate Jordan Humphreys improving to 8-1. Merandy is second in the SAL in ERA behind Humphreys (1.40) as the best one-two punch in the organization. Uceta has been impressive in his first season out of the pen. Merandy is one of five Fireflies that have been chosen to play in the South Atlantic League All-Star Game.
