Yes folks, this is the last edition of the Minor League Report. I’ll just go through a quick recap of the teams that made the playoffs, and their results, and the records and such for the other teams.

AAA – New Orleans Zephyrs

The Zephyrs finished the regular season winning the PCL American South division with a 75-69 record. They faced the Nashville Sounds in the first round of the playoffs and defeated them winning Game 1 and Game 3. The Zephyrs then faced the heavily favored Sacramento RiverCats as they got swept losing 5-3 in the first game, and 3-2 in the second game.

The Mets ended an OK season with a bang. They won the final game of their season coming back from a two-run deficit to win it in the ninth. This won increased their record to 61-81, last in the EAS Nothern Division.

If you remember last week, SNY was showing the balk-off win that clinched the division for the Cyclones. They went on to defeat the Staten Island Yankees in the first round of the playoffs, but fell short to the Auburn Doubledays. The Cyclones finished with a 49-25 record.
