Here are some notes from the Mets on last night’s game. There’s some good stuff happening here…

SCORELESS STREAK: The Mets have tossed 22.0 consecutive scoreless innings dating back to the sixth inning on June 17…It’s the third scoreless streak this season of 20 or more innings by New York’s staff…The club’s season-high is 28.0 shutout frames from May 25-28, while the team also posted 25.0 scoreless innings from June 1-3.

SHUTOUTS: The Mets posted their eighth shutout of the year…New York leads the NL in shutouts and is second in the majors…Entering tonight, the Angels had nine shutouts.

BACK-TO-BACK SHUTOUTS: New York has now recorded back-to-back shutouts for the third time this season after blanking the Birds twice…The Mets shut out San Diego, 9-0 on May 26 and then won 2-0 over the Padres on May 27…The Mets shut out the Cardinals 8-0 on June 1 (Santana’s no-hitter) and 5-0 on June 2.

JOHAN SANTANA: Has won two straight starts for the second time this year…Also won back-to-back starts May 26-June 1…Johan Santana is now 4-1 with a 1.16 ERA (seven earned runs/54.1 innings) at home (eight starts)…Entering tonight, he was fourth in the NL in home ERA.

DAVID WRIGHT: Extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a single in the fourth-inning…Wright is hitting .324 (12-37) during that span…This is Wright’s third hitting streak this season of 10 or more games…Wright joins Baltimore’s Adam Jones and San Francisco’s Angel Pagan as the only three players in the majors with three separate hitting streaks of 10 or more games…Wright also hit in 10 consecutive games from April 5-20 and in 10 games from April 24-May 4.

LUCAS DUDA: Singled in the fourth-inning and hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning…Duda has reached base safely in a career-high 22 straight games dating back to May 27…Duda has at least one hit in 16 of his last 19 games.

HOME RUNS: Lucas Duda leads the team with 11 home runs…Duda’s blast was a “new” Citi Field home run, meaning the ball cleared the new dimensions but would not have been a home run last year…The Mets have 11 “new” Citi Field home runs while the opposition has nine.

SPIN CITI: Jordany Valdespin is hitting .333 (8-24) with seven runs scored, three doubles, one triple and eight RBI in his last eight contests.
