Mets manager Luis Rojas gave updates on some of the Mets’ injured players and the progression they are making towards getting back on the major league roster.

Jonathan Villar:

Luis Rojas said Jonathan Villar is available to come into the game off the bench tonight, however they don’t want to risk reaggravating the hamstring tightness Villar was feeling, so they will be taking it easy with Villar and not pushing it.

Johneshwy Fargas:

Johneshwy Fargas tweeted yesterday, “feeling better,” on his Twitter account. According to Rojas, Fargas is progressing well.

Albert Almora:

Rojas said Almora has ramped up baseball activities and feels optimistic. Rojas said he could begin a rehab assignment in the near future, stating it could be approaching soon.

Carlos Carrasco:

Carlos Carrasco is working with the Mets training staff on strengthening his hamstring, but is still week-to-week.

Jeff McNeil

Jeff McNeil is progressing a little faster than Michael Conforto, according to Rojas. He said McNeil could begin a rehab assignment in a week or two.

Michael Conforto:

According to Rojas, Conforto is progressing, however not as fast as McNeil. Rojas did not give a timeline on when Conforto would begin a rehab assignment.
