Per Jon Heyman of MLB Network, the Mets will be hiring Dave Jauss as their next bench coach.

Jauss will replace Hensley Muelens, who spent just one season with New York.

The 63-year-old Jauss has spent time with various teams since the ’80s, and has served as bench coach for four separate organizations including the Dodgers (2006-2007), Orioles (2008-2009), the Mets (back in 2010, beside then-manager Jerry Manuel), and Pirates (2016 only, but served on the coaching staff until 2019).

Jauss also spent some time as coordinator of staff development for the Mets in 2011.

Following his exit from the Pirate organization in 2019, Jauss spent this past season with the Yankees as a scout.
