Anthony McCarron of the Daily News is reporting that the Mets recalled left handed reliever Raul Valdes from Triple-A Buffalo and that he will be available for tonight’s game.

Valdes was 0-1 with a 3.68 ERA in 29.1 innings pitched this season.

To make room for Valdes, Fernando Tatis was placed on the 15-day DL with a sprained right shoulder. The Mets said Tatis will undergo further testing at the Hospital for Special Surgery tomorrow.

Jerry Manuel said that Alex Cora would be the backup 1B and C Henry Blanco could play 1B or 3B in an emergency.
