Andy Martino of SNY reports that the Mets are pursuing many options as they look to fill out their roster. Martino mentions that the team is looking at free agent options in center, infield, and bullpen.

Martino specifically mentions Adam Warren, Marwin Gonzalez, Asdrubal Cabrera, and Justin Wilson as names the Mets are looking at.

Adam Warren was the Yankees former swingman before being traded to the Mariners this past summer while Wilson is a hard-throwing lefty who has command problems (5.4 BB/9), but could serve as the team’s first lefty if they were to sign him.

Marwin Gonzalez is the jack of all trades and would be a solid addition to the Mets roster as he could play everywhere and serve as a crucial depth piece upon Yoenis Cespedes‘ return. Cabrera was a Met for two-and-a-half years before being dealt to the Philadelphia Phillies in return for Franklyn Kilome.

Finally, Martino adds that the Mets are still looking to move one of their catchers and that catcher will likely be Kevin Plawecki. With the team having signed Wilson Ramos, they currently have three catchers with Travis d’Arnaud reportedly being the one they prefer to stay with the team in 2019.
