The New York Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates had their series opener postponed on Monday due to heavy rains.
As such, the two teams will play a traditional doubleheader at PNC Park on Tuesday beginning at 4:05 PM.
The second game of the twin-bill will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the early game.
Steven Matz and Jon Niese are expected to start in the first game, while Jacob deGrom and Juan Nicasio will oppose each other in the second game of the doubleheader.
Both teams will be allowed to call up an extra player for their rosters.
