Lucas+Duda

The New York Mets and Lucas Duda have settled on a one year contract which will pay him $4.2 million in 2015, thus avoiding arbitration according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

Duda, who earned $1.9 million last season, had requested $4.7 million while the Mets countered with $3.75 million.

Coming off a breakout season in 2014, Duda heads into spring training as the Mets everyday first baseman who’ll sit against the toughest lefthanded starters.
