Mets Lose an Ugly One to the Braves 15-2

The Mets (56-64) lost to the Braves (63-57) by a score of 15-2. Bobby Parnell made his 3rd start of the year, and was he bad. In the second inning the Braves sent 11 men to the plate. HOWEVER, in defense of Bobby he could have gotten out of the inning when it was only 3-0. This is only his 3rd start, so no one be alarmed. With the Mets out of playoff contention there is no harm in experimenting...

Billy Wagner Placed On Waivers

Jayson Stark of ESPN is reporting the following, According to a major league source, the Mets placed Wagner on trade waivers Wednesday. That means those waivers would expire at 1 p.m. EDT Friday, hours before Wagner is scheduled to be activated and make his long-awaited return from Tommy John Surgery. Around The NL East – Strasburg, Church, Hanley, Nolasco

Washington Nationals Great job by the Nats on doing what it takes to get Stephen Strasburg to sign his name on the dotted line. Mets Minors Seem To Have Major Concerns

The Mets Minor League system has been the subject of debate all season long in 2009. The criticism is mostly justified in my opinion based on two things. 1. The Mets claim that they have a superior farm system loaded with talent that they consider untouchable. The overall standings of the Mets minor league affiliates tells a much different story and most of their top prospects are struggling or...
