Senga has been impressive in his rookie season, and is 7-5 with a 3.31 ERA. He has pitched in 16 games this season and has struck out 113 batters 89.2 innings pitched. Senga also leads all Mets’ starters with a 125 ERA+.

Senga’s ERA has been its lowest over the course of his last seven games. He is 3-2, with a 2.59 ERA. Over the course of 41.2 innings pitched, he has given up 12 runs but struck out 52.

His best outing of the season came on July 5 against Arizona, where he threw eight strong innings in which he gave up just one earned run on four hits, while striking out 12.

Senga joins Pete Alonso on the National League roster. Both will head to Seattle this week to prepare for Tuesday’s All-Star Game.
