Top Mets catching prospect Kevin Parada has been promoted to Double-A Binghamton, according to his old team, the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Parada, 22, slashed .265/.340/447/.787 over 382 plate appearances. He had a wRC+ of 115 in High-A, a mark 15 percent better than other hitters in the league. The Georgia Tech product recently returned from a stint on the injured list with a right ankle sprain, but he’s been playing regularly since his return on August 16.

He’ll join a lineup with fellow top prospects Luisangel Acuña and Drew Gilbert, as well as some of the team’s top pitching prospects.

In his time with Brooklyn, Parada played 59 games at catcher and 28 at designated hitter. There are concerns about his ability to catch long-term, both because of his ability to frame and receive pitches and catch runners on the base paths. Parada and his pitchers have allowed 115 stolen bases in 139 attempts (17.3% caught stealing rate) in just 508.2 innings.

He’s currently ranked at No. 5 on MLB Pipeline’s Top 30 Mets products. MMO’s Mike Mayer listed him at No. 3 on his post-trade-deadline update.

Pipeline listed Parada’s tools as follows (with 50 being average, 60 being above average, and 40 being below average):

  • Hit: 50
  • Power: 60
  • Run: 40
  • Arm: 45
  • Field: 45
  • Overall: 55
