Keith Hernandez and David Ortiz will serve as analysts for FOX Sports this coming postseason.
After recent allegations surrounding Pete Rose, FOX parted ways and will replace him with the pair of first basemen this postseason.
Hernandez, 63, has been calling Mets games on SNY for 12 years alongside Gary Cohen and former teammate Ron Darling. At FOX, he will be reunited with Kevin Burkhart and will share the mic with Alex Rodriguez, Frank Thomas and Ortiz.
At the end of Sunday’s telecast against the Phillies, Cohen cryptically said to Keith of their time together, “It was great, I enjoyed it.” It has been confirmed that neither Keith nor Gary will be leaving SNY.
Hernandez brings his 11 Gold Gloves, five All Star appearances, batting title and MVP to a panel with other former great players. As per usual, Ron Darling will be lending his voice to TBS broadcasts so the SNY booth will be well-represented this October.
