Left-handed reliever Justin Wilson threw off the mound today for the first time since being placed on the injured list with left elbow soreness on Apr. 22.

“He threw off the mound today,” Mickey Callaway said in his pregame press conference. “He felt pretty good.”

Wilson’s placement on the 10-day injured list was retroactive to Apr. 20. He is eligible to be activated on Tuesday, but will likely be activated later in the week.

“I think we’ll obviously see how he came out of everything today,” Callaway said. “But if he threw a bullpen today and threw off the mound, it’d be tough to activate him tomorrow, so I’m sure it’ll be a little longer, but we’re not exactly sure when yet.”

Wilson has pitched to the tune of a 3.24 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 6.50 FIP with eight strikeouts in 8 1/3 innings this season.
