Juan Soto left Tuesday night’s game against the San Diego Padres after fouling a ball off his leg.

In the top of the third, Soto fouled a ball off his right leg, and needed a couple of minutes after doing so to recoup. Trainers checked on Soto, but he grounded out and stayed in for the bottom of the third. However, when the team came out for defense in the fourth, he was replaced by Tyrone Taylor in center. (Jeff McNeil moved from center to right field, Soto’s position.)

The Mets say Soto left with a “foot contusion.” We’ll update more as the Mets release information.
