As reported by the NY Post, the FBI came to Port St Lucie this past week to question Jose Reyes about his involvement with Dr. Tony Galea, who treated the Mets shortstop with a unique blood spinning treatment to help the torn hamstring Reyes suffered last year.

Galea, is under investigation for drug violations and has treated numerous athletes including Tiger Woods and Carlos Delgado. Reyes said that he did nothing wrong and that the FBI agents told him he was cleared.

“The FBI is talking to every player who went to that doctor and they told me everything with me was fine. I was cleared. They asked me if I was ever injected with HGH and I said no. What we did there, basically he took my blood out, spun it in some machine and put it back in my leg.”

“They said, ‘The FBI.’ I said, ‘Man, what did I do wrong?’ ” Reyes said. “I was kind of surprised and scared, but after the interview they said there should be no problem with me.”

Hopefully this will be the one and only distraction of the spring. Nobody expects anything more to come of it, and the Mets did confirmed that they were aware of the FBI inquiries.
