Minor league outfielder Johneshwy Fargas announced Saturday that he’s back with the Mets.

He hinted at a potential reunion Thursday when he tweeted orange and blue hearts.

Fargas spent the 2021 season with the Mets and Cubs organizations. He played at five different levels within the Mets organization, from Rookie ball all the way up to the big league team. He played seven games at the major league level, going 6-for-21 with three doubles.

The 27-year-old owns a .254/.329/.347 batting line over seven minor league seasons. He has speed, racking up 252 stole bases in that time. In 22 games over his brief major league career, he’s batted .250/.264/.385 with just one stolen base.

With minor league camp getting going and obviously no MLB camp yet, it’s a solid addition to the Mets’ minor league outfield depth.
