Good morning to all of you. After what started as a devastating day for me, I was heartened by the thousands of well wishes I received from so many of you. You make what I do here so worth it and I’m blessed to have such loyalty.
After nearly 20 years of running MMO, I did something regrettable and I paid the price as many people I viewed as friends and family, made the decision to move on. I wish all of them well. On a personal level I will miss them.
I am a warrior and we have a code we live by. We endeavor to be honest, to stand by our convictions, to never leave anyone behind, and to never stop battling. I am moving on.
I intend to pick up the pieces, regroup with those who chose to stand by me, and bring on some new voices and perspectives.
We will continue to provide you with unparalleled Mets content and our mission statement remains unchanged. We will continue to strive to be the best we can be because you – our readers – deserve nothing less. That’s my promise to you.
I’m not going to let an errant tweet destroy everything we have built here at MMO. I acknowledged my mistake and quickly apologized. If that’s not enough after all the years of credibility I’ve built up, there’s not much else I can do for you. I’m choosing to forge ahead and I welcome the rest of you to join me.
