Ike Davis once hit 32 home runs for the Mets in a season, but after New York traded him away in early 2014, the first baseman never found lasting success in the majors.

The Mets shipped Davis off to Pittsburgh, instead deciding to keep Lucas Duda at first to clear the logjam at the position.

The now 30-year-old spent one season with the Bucs, then made stops in Oakland and the Bronx before changing his path in America’s Pastime.

The left-handed Davis is now working his way up the ranks as a reliever in the Los Angeles Dodgers system and has initially seen positive results.

Davis struck out the side in his debut for the Arizona League Dodgers, reportedly sitting at 88-92 mph with his fastball, according to Fangraphs.

This isn’t Davis’ first rodeo on the mound, as he was a successful two-way player in his time at Arizona State. He recorded a 2.25 ERA in 24 innings as a junior in 2008.

As a member of the Athletics, Davis also notched a pair of scoreless innings after coming in during blowouts in 2015.
