According to Jim Bowden of Sirius XM, the Milwaukee Brewers continue to be “in” on free agents Jake Arrieta and Mike Moustakas.

The idea is, according to Bowden, if they sign the latter, they could trade Travis Shaw to the New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves or New York Mets, according to his sources.

Shaw, 27, has played mostly third and first base in his career. In 2017, he was good for 4.0 WAR and hit to a .273/.349/.513 clip with 31 homers and 101 RBI in 606 plate appearances.

Since the team has a plethora of first base options now, the idea I believe, would be for him to man the hot corner if the Mets traded for him.

Across 1,221.1 innings at third for the Brew Crew in 2017, he was good for three defensive runs saved and had a -0.4 UZR.

What would you give the Brewers in exchange for Shaw?
