According to multiple sources including Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic, the Atlanta Braves and third baseman Josh Donaldson have agreed to a one year deal worth $23 million.

In 2018, Donaldson was limited to just 52 games with the Blue Jays and Indians due to a calf injury. He hit a combined .246/.352/.449 with 14 doubles, eight home runs, and 23 RBI.

Donaldson’s $23 million salary will match what he earned last season in his final year of arbitration.

He was one of the top bats on the market this offseason, and will now be joining a fearful Braves lineup with young stars Freddie Freeman, Ronald Acuna Jr, and Ozzie Albies.

Veteran catcher Brian McCann also agreed to a deal with the Braves this afternoon, he will be returning to Atlanta on a one year, $2 million contract.
