According to Jon Heyman of FanCred Sports, the Cincinnati Reds are pursuing free agent outfielder A.J. Pollock. Heyman also notes that the Reds are looking at free agent starter Dallas Keuchel.

New York Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen said on MLB Network Radio recently that the Mets have talked to the agents for Pollock.

Pollock, 31 yesterday, hit .257/.316/.484 with 106 OPS+, 21 doubles, five triples, career-high 21 home runs, 65 RBI and 13 steals in 113 games last season for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The right-handed hitting Pollock posted a 2.5 bWAR and 2.5 fWAR in 2018 and stayed sharp defensively in center field with 6 DRS.

Injury bug has been the issue with Pollock. He was limited to 12 games in 2016 with a broken elbow. In 2017, he played only 112 games after missing time with a groin strain. Just this last season he played he saw time on the disabled list with a broken thumb.

Also of note for any team thinking about signing Pollock, he was given and turned down a qualifying offer.

The Mets currently have outfielders Juan Lagares, Michael Conforto, Brandon Nimmo an Yoenis Cespedes as the only outfielders on the 40-man roster.
