The New York Mets announced their second round of cuts from their major league spring training roster this morning.
Optioned to minor league camp were second baseman Dilson Herrera, LHP Josh Smoker, outfielder Brandon Nimmo, RHP Robert Gsellman, RHP Seth Lugo, RHP Gabriel Ynoa, and RHP Jeff Walters.
Reassigned to minor league camp were first baseman Dominic Smith, LHP Duane Below, RHP Stolmy Pimentel, shortstop Gavin Cecchini, infielder Marc Krauss, and outfielder Travis Taijeron.
There are now 39 players left in major league camp.
