Luis Guillorme is in New York according to Tim Healey of Newsday. Presumably, Guillorme is here for Robinson Cano, who left tonight’s game with a sore left quad. The infielder was removed from Syracuse’s game shortly after Cano went down Wednesday night.

Guillorme was hitting .286/.412/.371 in Syracuse. He hit .167/.211/.167 in his brief MLB stint this season. Guillorme will likely play second and share that duty with Adeiny Hechaverria. This is assuming that Jeff McNeil will be out a few more days.

The injury bug has hit the Mets and they will need to do some shuffling around in order to get people their playing time.
