Former St. Lucie right-hander Hansel Robles recently cleared waivers and was subsequently removed from the Mets 40-man roster according to ESPN’s Adam Rubin.

With the drop the Mets roster moves to 39 players, making room until Chris Young passes physicals and is added sometime next week.

Robles pitched two games for the Gulf Coast Mets before begin promoted to St. Lucie in 2013. He went on to go 5-4 with a 3.72 ERA in 16 appearances in High-A ball on the year, giving up 35 earned runs, eight homers and striking out 66 in 84 2/3 innings.

In addition, Robles went 0-2 with a 4.00 ERA in six appearances in the Arizona Fall League this season.
