Terry Collins told reporters before the game Sunday that Dillon Gee will have one more rehab start in the minors, guaranteeing Noah Syndergaard at least one more turn in the rotation.

Collins said he would like to see 95-to-100 pitches from Gee in his final rehab start. After that outing, a decision will be made regarding the rotation.

Gee struck out seven over four innings of one-run ball in a rehab start with High-A St. Lucie on Saturday.

The Mets manager said it is possible somebody goes to the bullpen or that Syndergaard goes back to Triple-A Las Vegas. An option that will not be considered, however, is a six-man rotation.

Gee was placed on the disabled list on May 4 with a right groin strain. Prior to the injury, the 29-year-old was 0-2 with a 3.86 ERA in five starts.
