IN THE OUTFIELD: Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Andres Torres and Lucas Duda each had two hits and they combined for four runs and four RBI in the Mets’ win last night. It was the first game this season in which three Mets outfielders had two or more hits.

KIRK NIEUWENHUIS: Leads all major league rookies with a .310 batting average, a .381 on-base percentage. Is tied for the major league lead among all rookies with 31 hits and 11 walks. Nieuwenhuis ranks second in the NL and fourth overall among rookies with 10 RBI and is tied for second with eight multi-hit games.

MR. WRIGHT: David Wright is fifth in the majors with a .375 batting average. Wright is second in the majors with a .479 on-base percentage. He is tied for eighth in the majors with 20 walks and is ninth in the NL with a .552 slugging percentage. He has reached base safely in 25 of his 27 games.

BULLPEN: The Mets pen has tossed 7.2 scoreless innings during this series. The pen has allowed six hits, issued two walks and struck out six. Overall, the pen has not surrendered a run over its last four games (10.2 innings) with nine strikeouts. The Mets pen is tied for the major league lead with eight wins.

JON RAUCH: Earned his first save with the Mets last night and first since August 5, 2011, with Toronto at Baltimore. Rauch is unscored upon in 13 of his 15 outings. Is tied for third among major league relievers with three wins this season.

Game Preview

The Mets go for the sweep tonight in Philly! In each of the last two games, the Mets have had come back victories, both with a ton of 2-run RBI’s and good relief. As we all know, those are three major pieces to winning baseball teams. Anyway the Mets will be sending out Dillon Gee tonight to make it 5 straight as the Mets take on Cliff Lee.

Dillon Gee is 2-2 on the season with a 4.50 ERA over 5 starts and 32.0 innings. He is 1-0 in his last two starts with a 3.46 ERA. It was ugly last season when Gee took on the Phillies as he allowed 15 runs, 14 earned and 17 hits over 11.1 innings of work. The Phillies have the following numbers against Gee:
