Francisco Lindor stayed red-hot on Tuesday against the Marlins, going 3-for-4, with a home run, a double, two RBI, and two runs scored in the Mets 5-3 victory over the Marlins.

Lindor has now hit four home runs in his last five games and has 11 total RBI this spring.

With today’s performance for Lindor, he improves his spring training average to .342, with an 1.074 OPS. In his last six games, Lindor is 11-for-22, with a .476 average and a 1.617 OPS.

After the game, Lindor’s teammates praised his performance and spoke on having him on their side. Marcus Stroman said Francisco is someone he has always wanted to compete with and have on his team.

“We vibe off of him, he’s one of the best shortstops in baseball. We’re lucky to have him,” Stroman said.

Pete Alonso also praised Lindor’s impact on the Mets both on and off the field saying, “He’s an absolutely hell of a player and I’m looking forward to going to battle with him. It’s going to be fun,”

With just nine days until MLB Opening Day, Lindor is showing that he is ready to lead the Mets for the regular season.
