Phillip Evans was removed from the game in the bottom of the second inning of today’s game against the Washington Nationals with left knee discomfort.

This came after a play in the first inning in which he got slid into by Adam Eaton. Jose Reyes came in to replace him and play second base.

Evans, 25, has played in 15 games for the Mets this season in which he has registered 21 at-bats, three hits, and one RBI. He is slashing .143/.217/.143 on the year.
