ESPN Films announced on Thursday that they are in production on a 30 For 30 project centered around the 1986 Mets team.

ESPN notes that the documentary series will be produced by Jimmy Kimmel, Sal “Cousin Sal” Iacono, Kimmelot’s Scott Lonker, ITV’s Jordana Hochman and MLB’s Nick Trotta.

It will be directed by Nick Davis, the writer and director of the PBS documentary Ted Williams: ‘The Greatest Hitter Who Ever Lived.”

Of course, a roller up the first base line in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series off the bat of Mookie Wilson will forever be one of the most important highlights in Mets franchise history.

The Mets went on to claim their second franchise championship with an 8-5 win over the Red Sox in Game 7 on October, 27, 1986.
