First baseman Lucas Duda was a late scratch from Wednesday’s lineup due to soreness, according to a report by Marc Carig of Newsday. He was replaced at first base by James Loney.
Duda, 30, missed four months of the season with a stress fracture in his back and has been eased back slowly since rejoining the team.
He had a bases clearing double on Tuesday and has gone 5-for-15 with four doubles and four walks since returning from the disabled list.
