The Mets lost 4-3 to the Padres last night, but Mets first baseman Lucas Duda certainly does not share the blame.

Duda continued his hot hitting as he went 2-for-4 with a home run in the fifth inning as well as an RBI single. That single was the only hit the Mets recorded with a runner in scoring position last night as they went 1-for-9 with RISP.

After going 3-for-4 with three RBI Tuesday and walking three times Wednesday, this marks the third consecutive game Duda has had a positive performance as things are starting to click for the first baseman.

It is also his first home run since returning from the disabled list with a hyperextended elbow.

Duda was 5-10 (.500) with five RBI during this series, raising his season average to .244 to go with five home runs and 12 RBI in 25 games.
