Jacob deGrom was unable to secure his third-straight Cy Young this past season, finishing third behind Yu Darvish and Trevor Bauer. Yet despite missing out on the award for the COVID-shortened season, deGrom is still the favorite to win next year’s Cy Young according to DraftKings.

DraftKings’ Sportsbook released futures odds for the Cy Young races and deGrom headlines the list in the National League with +500 odds to win the award.

The reigning NL Cy Young, and newest Dodger, Trevor Bauer has the next best odds beside deGrom at +700. Max Scherzer (+850), Aaron Noloa (+1200), Max Fried (+1700), Stephen Strasburg (+2000) and Charlie Morton (+2200) are all pitchers in the NL East that are featured by the oddsmakers in this list.

If deGrom can accomplish the feat of winning another Cy Young, he will become just the 11th player in MLB history to win the award three times, joining both Scherzer and Clayton Kershaw.

In 2020, deGrom pitched to a 2.38 ERA across 12 starts and 68 innings pitched. His 13.9 K/9 rate and 104 total strikeouts were both top marks in the National League.
