According to both teams on Twitter, the Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired infielder Logan Forsythe from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for prospect RHP Jose De Leon.

Forsythe, 30, came up in 2011 with the San Diego Padres, but has spent the last three seasons with the Rays.

The last two seasons have been especially good for Forsythe. In 2016, he hit 20 long balls and drove in 52 runs, while hitting at a .264/.333/.444 clip in 127 games while starting 118 games at second base. He has also played some first and third base in his career.

In return, the Rays are getting highly touted pitching prospect Jose De Leon.

De Leon, 24, was the Dodgers No. 2 prospect, and the No. 33 prospect in all of baseball according to MLB.com at the time of the trade.

De Leon got a cup of coffee for Los Angeles in 2016, appearing in four games, pitching to a 2-0 record and a 6.35 ERA.
