Willie Randolph inherited the wrath of the fans tonight when he came out to take the ball from Aaron Heilman who had just allowed four Nationals to cross the plate and take the lead in the seventh inning.

The boos were twice as loud and twice as thunderous than the ones that greeted Heilman as he walked back to the dugout.

For some reason Willie keeps sending Heilman out in close games, only to take him out minutes later and usually after at least a couple of more runs have scored.

Keith Hernandez said it all tonight, "If you wanna win the division, you have to beat up on second division teams."

How can the Mets do that if they continue to make the same mistakes?

Does anybody else besides me want Heilman to fall prey to an alien abduction?
