MLB released its All-MLB teams on Monday night, highlighting the games’ top players over the course of the entire season.

The Mets had three players make the first and second teams. Edwin Diaz earned first-team honors as a reliever, and Francisco Lindor and Max Scherzer earned spots on the second team of the fourth-annual list.

Díaz was probably the best reliever in baseball this season with a 1.31 ERA over 62 innings this season. After the World Series and before free agency started, the Mets locked down Díaz for five years and over $100 million. It’s the most expensive reliever contract in MLB history.

Lindor and Scherzer, two of the Mets’ most expensive players, also had great seasons in Queens. Though Scherzer’s ended with two poor starts and two oblique injuries forced him out of eight weeks of action, he still pitched to a 2.29 ERA in 145.1 innings. Lindor, on the other hand, had one of the best seasons of his career and his best so far in New York. He had a .788 OBP, 127 wRC+ and he posted 6.2 fWAR.

The lists are curated half by fan vote and half by a “panel of experts.” Each All-MLB team had one player from each position, one designated hitter, five starting pitchers and two relievers. The list is meant to honor players entire season performances, contrasting with the All-Star Game, which honors players after half a season.
