Sorry Mets fans, David Wright has once again confirmed that he is not at all considering coming back to the Mets to take a manager role. The seven-time All-Star told Jon Heyman of MLB Network that he is not interested in coaching at this time.

With the dismissal of Carlos Beltran, the Mets are once again searching for a manager before Spring Training starts up, and Wright’s name continued to be mentioned by fans who miss his presence in the clubhouse. Some more likely options for the manager position seem to be Luis Rojas, Hensley Meulens, with some new mentions of former Nationals manager Dusty Baker

Wright did admit to the fact that he did accept a coaching position from another team. He is set to start coaching his daughter’s co-ed tee-ball team in the spring, which seems to be the extent of his coaching dreams for now. Good luck to David and Olivia’s team this coming season.
