
On Monday, the National Baseball Hall of Fame announced their Today’s Game Era Ballots which included former Mets manager, Davey Johnson.
Johnson, 75, managed the Mets from 1984-1990 in which he accumulated the most wins in Mets managerial history (595) while also winning a World Series in 1986 which led to his induction into the Mets Hall of Fame.
In his managerial career in total, Johnson managed the Cincinnati Reds (1993-1995), Los Angeles Dodgers (1999-2000), and Washington Nationals (2011-2013) as well, finishing with a combined record of 1,372-1,071 including his time with the Mets.
Other names on the ballot are Joe Carter, Will Clark, Orel Hershiser, Harold Baines, Lee Smith, Albert Belle, Lou Pinella, George Steinbrenner, and Charlie Manuel.
The voting for the honor will be conducted on December 9, during the Winter Meeting that will be in Las Vegas this year.
