Travis d’Arnaud has been placed on the disabled list, the team announced a short while ago.
Johnny Monell has been called up to replace him on the roster.
D’Arnaud was expected to return to the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Brewers.
Apparently his hyperextended left elbow is still an issue for the oft injured catcher.
The Mets have yet to announce exactly what the MRI results were.

The Mets may have dodged a bullet on Saturday night when x-rays came back negative on Travis d’Arnaud‘s injured left elbow.
The catcher was diagnosed with a hyperextended left elbow after the Mets’ 6-4 loss to the Braves.
For d’Arnaud the news provided him with some relief. “A lot of negative thoughts were going through my head and I’m just very fortunate that it wasn’t as serious as I was thinking.”
According to manager Terry Collins, d’Arnaud will likely get Sunday off and he should be good to go on Tuesday when the Mets play the Brewers in Milwaukee.
“The hyper-extended elbow, I know it hurts but we got tape,” Collins said.

Starting catcher Travis d’Arnaud was removed from the game against the Atlanta Braves in Turner Field with an apparent left elbow injury and is headed to the hospital for x-rays.
In the bottom of the sixth inning with the bases loaded, Pedro Ciriaco hit a shallow fly to right field. Michael Cuddyer caught the ball and fired it home as A.J. Pierzynski tagged up and rumbled home.
However the throw was too far up the line and when d’Arnaud reached out to apply the tag Pierzynski bulldozed his arm, knocked the ball loose and scored.
D’Arnaud was turned around from the force of the collision and fell to the ground holding his left arm in obvious pain.
Terry Collins and trainer Ray Ramirez came out and escorted d’Arnaud off the field. Kevin Plawecki came into the game to replace d’Arnaud.
We’ll post an update once the Mets make some sort of an announcement after doctors check him out.
This poor kid has no luck with injuries. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
