Michael Conforto returned to the third spot in the lineup Sunday against the Brewers and delivered, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a walk, knocking a double, triple, and home run. He was a single shy of the cycle when he came up to bat in the 8th inning but popped out.

“It’s all the same for me,” Conforto said after Sunday’s game about moving in the lineup. “Anywhere I hit, I’m trying to get on base, I’m trying to drive the ball.”

In 133 at-bats batting third in 2016, Conforto hit .256/.324/.519 with eight home runs and 22 RBIs. This season, Conforto has acted as the team’s leadoff hitter and has performed admirably, however this will allow him to drive in more runs with the table-setters in front of him.

In 33 games, Conforto is hitting .343/.430/.686 (1.116 OPS) with nine home runs and 24 RBIs.
