A small victory Mets fans: Michael Conforto got a hit in the Mid-Summer Classic on Tuesday and Aaron Judge did not.

While I’m mostly kidding, Conforto went 1-for-2 at the dish for the National League after coming in as a defensive replacement for Marcell Ozuna in the sixth inning.

An inning later, Conforto blooped a single to central to collect a base knock in his first All-Star game.

Conforto had a chance to play hero in the bottom of the ninth, but fanned with the game tied and two runners in scoring position.

“It was a lot of adrenaline,” Conforto said. “Definitely a lot of adrenaline. I wanted that last hit. You know, Kimbrel has got some great stuff. That things like a bowling ball coming in there.”

Conforto added that while he wishes he got that last hit to win it for the National League, it was still incredible getting the first one.

A great feat for Michael getting his first hit playing among the best of the best and a another accomplishment for the outfielder with a bright future ahead of him.

It was also nice to hear Joe Buck say that the 24-year-old has “one of the sweetest swings in the game.” *ducks*
