The Mets have been very outspoken this off-season about their expectations. They are confident, and they believe they can experience a lot of success this season.
Speaking to reporters today before the game, Terry Collins says that he is not worried about the added pressure that they have put on themselves.
“We have huge expectations, but we are not afraid of it”
“It’s time,” Collins said. “We should be expected to win.”
Collins says that the “reality is that the Mets got better”, even though he was disappointed that they didn’t come away with more wins during the first week of the year.
Frankly, I’m tired of hearing the Mets talk about having success. While it is a good thing that they are confident, I would prefer them to just let their performance on the field speak for itself.
