According to Ken Rosental of Fox Sports, the Cleveland Indians have signed left-handed reliever Boone Logan, pending a physical. Indians beat writer Paul Hoynes reports that the deal is for one-year with a club option. The Logan deal could be a good measure for what Jerry Blevins might be able to get.

Logan, 32, had great 2016 season with the Rockies with a ERA of 3.69 in 66 games. He struck out 57 batters in 46.1 innings while pitching to an impressive WHIP of 1.01. Logan was even better vs lefties in 2016, holding to them a lowly .142/.222/.252 slash line.

Earlier this offseason, it was reported that the New York Mets showed interest in the veteran Logan. The Mets 40-man roster currently has Sean Gilmartin, Josh Edgin and Josh Smoker as their only lefty relievers.

Jerry Blevins is now easily the best lefty reliever left on the free agent market and the Mets may be willing to give him two years according to a recent report.

Other lefty relievers still available via free agency are Javier Lopez, Travis Wood, Craig Breslow and former Met Chris Capuano.
