chris youngMets outfielder Chris Young left Monday’s game in the eighth inning with a cramp in his left calf, the Mets announced.

“I felt it a few steps out of the box and tried to kind of push through it and it seemed like it went away,” Young told reporters.

“I think I made the right decision coming out of the game, for sure, just to try to catch it before anything went wrong. So hopefully with the ice and some rest tonight I show up tomorrow and it feels normal.”

Young was signed to a one year deal worth $7.25 million for this season and is batting is batting .202 with 8 home runs and 27 RBI in 75 games.
