Major League Baseball announced that Yoenis Cespedes of the New York Mets has been named the National League Player of the Week.

Cespedes batted .347 with an insane to believe .897 slugging percentage for the week ending September 13th.

In seven games and 30 plate appearances, Cespedes had four doubles, four home runs and 12 RBIs with six runs scored.

Cespedes is the fifth Met to win the award this year joining Jacob deGrom, Lucas Duda, Noah Syndergaard and Bartolo Colon whomer won last week.

In 40 games since joining the Mets, Cespedes is hitting .308 with 16 home runs and 41 RBI.
