As if the 3-2 walk-off loss to the Washington Nationals wasn’t enough on Monday night, it appears that left fielder Yoenis Cespedes may have injured strained his hamstring while attempting to make the catch on the Ryan Rayburn RBI-single.

Cespedes missed the making the catch by a matter of inches, but then came up lame and limped off the field.

According to manager Terry Collins, he won’t know exactly how serious the hamstring injury is, but that he’s keeping his fingers crossed that maybe it was something as minor as dehydration.

“It was pretty hot out there, it may just been a little dehydration. We’ll know more in the morning,” Collins said. “Could just be cramps.”

“One thing is for certain and that’s that Grandy will definitely be in the starting lineup tomorrow.”

We’ll update this as soon as we know more.
