Yoenis Cespedes played in his second rehab game for the GCL Mets today and went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and one strikeout.

He also played the field the entire game, but it all came at first base for him. This marked the first time he has appeared in the infield in a game since he played third base in Cuba.

The 32-year-old played in a simulated game Monday in Port St. Lucie, where he batted seven times and hit two home runs. He also played five innings in the field.

Yesterday, Cespedes played seven innings in left field and went 1-for-4 at the dish for the GCL Mets and did not strike out.

The plan for Cespedes is to continue rehabbing this week and if all goes well, a return to the bigs for the Mets series with the Yankees this weekend is likely.
