As the weather heated up, so did the bats. Well, for the most part. Don’t look at Ryan Clifford‘s June numbers.

TRIPLE-A: SYRACUSE METS

HITTER OF THE MONTH: NICK MORABITO

Statistics: 24 G, slash, 3 HR, 5 2B, 1 3B, 7 RBI, 11 BB, 25 SO, 11 SB (0 CS)

Yonny Hernández finished with a better slash line, but I’m still going to give the nod to Nick Morabito here because of what his recent developments could mean for the post-trade-deadline New York Mets. In 70 Triple-A games, Morabito has 22 extra-base hits. Nine of those have come in 24 games in June. He also homered on the final day of May, which would have further shown his power uptick if the calendar had just lined up a little bit differently. Morabito is never going to be a big power threat, but it’s encouraging to see him hitting the ball with authority. If the Mets make a move at the deadline, like sending Tyrone Taylor to a team that could use a fourth outfielder, Morabito could come up to fill that spot.

PITCHER OF THE MONTH: NATE LAVENDER

Last week, I wrote about how Nate Lavender‘s MLB debut might finally be around the corner. Since then, he’s thrown four more scoreless innings with five strikeouts and only three baserunners. After leaving the organization for a year as a casualty of the Rule 5 Draft, he has been returned to the Mets from the Rays and is looking like the exciting lefty reliever Mets fans were ready for a few years ago. Xzavion Curry deserves a shoutout here for a very strong month, but 19 strikeouts in 27 innings just isn’t enough to beat out what Lavender did from the pen.

PITCHER OF THE MONTH: JONATHAN SANTUCCI

Statistics: 5 G (5 GS), 22.0 IP, 16 H, 8 R (7 ER), 25 SO, 13 BB, 2.86 ERA, 1.32 WHIP

Jonathan Santucci might be the best pitching prospect in the Mets’ system. He has a nasty slider, a great fastball and two developing pitches in a curveball and a changeup that both look promising. His June was great, and in a year where it seems like a lot of the Mets’ top pitching prospects have struggled and taken steps back, Santucci has maintained. He did leave his last start of the month on June 30 after two hitless innings, but there was a long rain delay, so that’s more than likely the reason.

HIGH-A: BROOKLYN CYCLONES

HITTER OF THE MONTH: JT BENSON

Statistics: 19 G, .288/.405/.652/1.057, 5 HR, 5 2B, 2 3B, 14 RBI, 10 BB, 20 SO

June was a big rebound month for a lot of Cyclone hitters, including Mitch Voit, Corey Collins, Daiverson Gutierrez and Ronald Hernandez, but it’s JT Benson who takes the top spot. Benson isn’t really a bounce back; he hit well enough in May. But he was clearly the best of the bunch. For a college bat signed after two seasons in indy ball, Benson’s breakout is the kind of one that’s always fun to see. He’s a good athlete in the outfield, and he’s old enough that even though he’s still relatively new to High-A, the Mets could push him quickly to Double-A, too.

PITCHER OF THE MONTH: DAVIEL HURTADO

Statistics: 5 G (5 GS), 26.2 IP, 11 H, 6 R (6 ER), 26 SO, 4 BB, 2.03 ERA, 0.56 WHIP

Daviel Hurtado is in the middle of a full-fledged breakout. Promoted to Brooklyn at the end of May, he has been nails. June was a work of art. On June 30, to close his month, Hurtado went six full innings scoreless, allowing just one hit and one walk while punching out eight. It was his second-straight start where he went six full innings, too. A 21-year-old lefty who throws in the mid-90s and could have even more in the tank, Hurtado should be on everyone’s radar.

SINGLE-A: ST. LUCIE METS

HITTER OF THE MONTH: YOHAIRO CUEVAS

Statistics: 13 G, .326/.456/.630/1.086, 2 HR, 8 2B, 6 RBI, 9 BB, 9 SO

It was a tough month for St. Lucie hitters. Elian Peña struggled, Antonio Jimenez struggled, Randy Guzman got hurt and no one else really separated themselves. So, it goes to Yohairo Cuevas, who started the year in Brooklyn but was sent down to St. Lucie after a really rough start. His sample size is a little smaller than others because he was sent back to Brooklyn on June 18. An outfielder with a strong arm, Cuevas tore up St. Lucie while he was there, and his next task will be figuring out High-A.

PITCHER OF THE MONTH: CAM TILLY

Statistics: 4 G (4 GS), 18 IP, 10 H, 3 R (2 ER), 15 SO, 5 BB, 1.00 ERA, 0.83 WHIP

Where St. Lucie bats struggled, St. Lucie pitchers excelled. Emilio Obispo, Joel Lara and Zack Mack all deserve recognition, but Cam Tilly was the best. He threw 6 and 1/3 no-hit innings on June 9 to start a combined no-hitter. That might have gotten him player of the month honors alone, but then he gave up just two more earned runs in 11 and 2/3 innings before and after in the month. It’s a big bounce-back month for the 22-year-old who entered the year as a popular under-the-radar arm to pop, but just hasn’t so far.

FLORIDA COMPLEX LEAGUE: FCL METS

HITTER OF THE MONTH: VLADI GOMEZ

Statistics: 19 G, .377/.443/.472/.915, 1 HR, 2 2B, 7 RBI,5  BB, 8 SO, 11 SB (3 CS)

It was tight between Vladi Gomez and Bohan Adderley as the two had nearly identical numbers, but Gomez’s low strikeout numbers gave him the edge. The 20-year-old has played second base, third base, shortstop, left field and right field this season, and has a lot of experience in center as well. With the way St. Lucie’s bats hit in June, Gomez should get a look back at Single-A. He’s had two short stints there so far this year and hit well in six games. Time to make the move permanent.

PITCHER OF THE MONTH: CALVIN ZIEGLER

Statistics: 3 G (2 GS), 2.1 IP, 3 H, 3 R (1 ER), 3 SO, 2 BB, 3.86 ERA, 2.14 WHIP

It’s pretty slim pickings here for FCL Mets pitchers, so we’ll go with a different angle. Calvin Ziegler made his return to the mound for the first time since April of 2024, over two full years ago. At one time a big name in the Mets’ farm system, Ziegler has been plagued by injuries throughout his minor league career. When healthy, the strikeout numbers have been tantalizing, but he really hasn’t been fully healthy since 2022. From 2023 through now, he has 9 and 1/3 total innings. All that matters right now, though, is he’s back, and it’s great to see.

DOMINICAN SUMMER LEAGUE: DSL METS

HITTER OF THE MONTH: CLEINER RAMIREZ

Statistics: 20 G, .316/.388/.618/1.006, 5 HR, 8 2B, 13 RBI, 5 BB, 10 SO, 6 SB (1 CS)

Cleiner Ramirez received the second-largest signing bonus in the Mets’ most recent IFA class, and he’s showing why so far. He’s only 5-foot-9, but he packs a punch, with his 13 extra-base hits leading all Mets in the DSL. He’s played both up-the-middle infield positions and center field so far through his first 20 professional games, and has just overall looked really, really impressive. The Mets might have something here.

PITCHER OF THE MONTH: RANDY GUZMAN

Statistics: 4 G (1 GS), 13.2 IP, 9 H, 1 R (0 ER), 17 SO, 3 BB, 0.00 ERA, 0.88 WHIP

It’s always really, really tough to evaluate pitchers in the Dominican Summer League, but it gets easier when a guy doesn’t give up a run. Or, at least, an earned run. The strikeout rate is great, the walk rate is great, and really, everything Randy Guzman showed in the first month of his season has been great. And yes, this is a different Randy Guzman from the Single-A power hitter. Can’t wait to have fun dealing with that for the next few years, at least.

Triple-A

The Syracuse Mets defeated the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in four games of their six-game series. The run differential was even, with each team scoring 32 runs in the series. The Mets are now 4-2 to begin the second half of the season and 42-39 overall.

Yonny Hernández had an excellent week at the plate, going 12-for-21 with four doubles and six RBIs, leading the team in both categories. He also added a walk and two stolen bases, improving his OPS to .782.

Nick Morabito went a solid 8-for-22, recording two doubles, two walks and four stolen bases. Morabito’s Triple-A OPS is up to .786.

Jonah Tong had a strong start, allowing two runs in six innings. He allowed four hits and two walks while striking out three. Still in the midst of a down year, Tong has a 5.95 ERA in 13 starts.

Xzavion Curry dealt with a ton of traffic in his outing, allowing 11 baserunners in 4 1/3 innings, but he only allowed two runs and struck out three. Curry has a 4.50 ERA in nine starts with Syracuse.

Nate Lavender was excellent in two relief appearances, earning a save and tossing four scoreless innings. He allowed just two hits and a walk while striking out five, lowering his ERA to 3.54. He’s knocking on the door of the MLB team.

Double-A

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies struggled against the Erie SeaWolves, mustering up just one victory in the six-game series. The Rumble Ponies are 1-5 to begin the second half of the season and 28-47 overall.

Nick Lorusso showed off his power this week, going 6-for-20 with three doubles and two home runs. He added five RBIs, leading his team in that category, and three walks. Lorusso’s season OPS is up to .786.

Jose Ramos went 7-for-25 with a double and two home runs, also adding three walks and a stolen base. Ramos owns a .719 OPS in 67 games with Binghamton.

Nick Lucky, recently signed out of independent ball, had a great week at the plate with six hits in 14 at-bats, as well as four walks. Lucky has an .827 OPS in his first nine games in the Mets organization.

Gabriel Rodriguez was the most dominant of Binghamton’s pitchers, allowing no runs and one hit in 3 1/3 innings out of the bullpen. He allowed three walks but also struck out six batters. Rodriguez has a 4.13 ERA in 24 appearances.

Saul García also shined out of the bullpen, striking out four in 2 1/3 perfect innings. Garcia owns a 3.56 ERA.

High-A

The Brooklyn Cyclones had a convincing series win against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws, taking five of six games. The Cyclones are 5-4 in the second half of the season and 30-44 overall.

JT Benson had a phenomenal week at the plate, going 7-for-16 with a double, a triple, three home runs and eight RBIs. He also walked twice and stole a base. Benson has a .953 OPS at the High-A level this year and a .945 OPS overall.

John Bay went 6-for-18, recording a pair of doubles and a pair of homers with six RBIs. Bay also walked once and improved his OPS to .792.

Yohairo Cuevas also added a pair of home runs, doing so while going 4-for-14. Cuevas recorded four RBIs, three walks and a stolen base. He owns just a .500 OPS in 32 games with Brooklyn,

Daviel Hurtado had an excellent start, allowing a run on two hits and a walk in six innings. He also struck out six, lowering his High-A ERA to 1.91 through six starts.

Dakota Hawkins put a scoreless start together, getting through five innings unscathed. He allowed four hits and no walks while striking out a batter. In 15 appearances with Brooklyn, he has a 1.74 ERA.

Hoss Brewer was excellent in three outings out of the bullpen, striking out seven across four scoreless innings. He allowed two hits and two walks and now has a 3.94 ERA.

Low-A

The St. Lucie Mets played just five games due to rain, and they struggled by going 1-4 against the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels. St. Lucie is 2-5 to begin the second half of the season and 35-38 overall.

Chase Meggers recorded a hit in half his at-bats, going 7-for-14 with four doubles and a home run. He also walked twice and stole a base. Meggers owns a .682 OPS for St. Lucie this season.

Jeremy Rodriguez had a productive week, going 6-for-15 with two doubles and a walk. Rodriguez has struggled mightily for the season, though, recording a .490 OPS in 30 games

Elian Peña had a pretty unremarkable week, going 3-for-12 with four walks and three stolen bases. He now owns a .764 OPS for the season.

Emilio Obispo had a decent four-inning start, allowing eight baserunners, including five walks, but not allowing a run. He struck out three and now has a 1.49 ERA in 10 appearances with St. Lucie.

Ernesto Mercedes looked strong out of the bullpen, allowing no runs on a hit and two walks across two innings. He struck out four and now owns a 10.06 ERA on the year.

FCL Mets

The FCL Mets had a rough week, going 1-5. They fall to 16-24 and are in fourth place in the Florida Complex League East division.

Bohan Adderley shined at the plate, going 7-for-16 with a double, two walks and a stolen base. Adderley owns an .851 OPS in 37 games this season.

On the mound, Omar Victorino allowed six baserunners in 2 2/3 innings, but he didn’t allow a run and struck out two. Victorino has a 5.74 ERA in 13 games.

DSL Mets

The DSL Mets Blue went 3-1 this past week to improve to 9-11 on the season. The DSL Mets Orange went 3-2, moving to 13-8.

Royner Bravo stood out at the plate for DSL Mets Blue, going 4-for-11 with a double, a triple and three RBIs. He owns a .770 OPS this season. Jhony Osoria impressed on the mound with four scoreless innings with two hits allowed, no walks and seven strikeouts. He has an 11.70 ERA in four games this season.

Cleiner Ramirez was on fire for DSL Mets Orange, going 8-for-17 with two homers, a double, a walk and two stolen bases. He also drove in four runs and improved his OPS to 1.046 in 19 games. Olmedo Barria looked strong on the mound, tossing four scoreless innings with one hit and one walk allowed and four strikeouts. Through five games, Barria possesses a 2.25 ERA.

The 24-year-old had his best week yet with a three-home run performance, and could see himself climb even further up the Mets minor league ladder if he continues on this trajectory.

Pitching – Daviel Hurtado, P Brooklyn

Daviel Hurtado has had a great season between St. Lucie and Brooklyn, owning a combined 2.65 ERA and leading the entire organization in WHIP. The 21-year-old lefty is among the younger and more exciting pitching prospects the Mets have in their system.

He’s slashed .287/.360/.480 in June with three homers, four doubles and a triple. He’s also 11-for-11 stealing bases. Morabito’s 26 steals rank sixth in the International League.

Additionally,  JT Benson belted a grand slam in High-A Brooklyn’s 9-1 triumph over Jersey Shore Saturday for his third homer in four games. The 24-year-old outfielder also stole his 13th base in 19 tries.

Benson went undrafted after finishing his college career at Louisville in 2024. He hit 10 homers, posted an .889 OPS and stole 24 bases playing in the independent Frontier League last year. The Mets signed him to a minor-league contract in March.

Then, seven games into his 2024 season at Triple-A, he tore his UCL. Lavender underwent the internal brace procedure on his elbow and missed the rest of the season. The Mets didn’t add Lavender, who was still recovering from elbow surgery, to the 40-man roster ahead of 2025. The Tampa Bay Rays pounced, taking Lavender in the Rule 5 Draft. The Mets’ best chance at a homegrown lefty reliever was gone.

Lavender suffered a setback with the Rays and needed another surgery to remove a bone spur in his elbow. He never pitched for the Rays, and after the season, he was returned to the Mets, this time with much less hype around him.

Finally healthy, he slowly worked his way through Single-A St. Lucie and High-A Brooklyn through the first month of the season, easing his way into his first game action since early 2024. He rejoined Triple-A Syracuse on May 9, and since then, he has looked great.

Don’t let the ERA—4.41 at Triple-A and 4.78 overall—fool you. Lavender has been excellent.

ERA, especially in the minor leagues, can be deceiving. Minor league defenses can be ugly, and minor league ballparks themselves are weird. There are many other stats you can look at instead, and one of the best, and arguably the simplest, is K-BB%. Strikeout minus walk ratio is very important, and Lavender is killing it. He’s striking out a staggering 42% of batters in Triple-A, and walking 8.7%. That’s a 33.3% K-BB% at Triple-A, a Top 5 mark across all pitchers with at least 10 innings pitched at the level. It’s the best in the Mets organization among pitchers at any level.

Lavender doesn’t throw hard, but the stuff is good. He’s a funky lefty, and guys like him consistently get away with not throwing hard. He throws strikes, gets a ton of swing and miss, and keeps the ball on the ground at a rate well above average. The ingredients are there.

The Mets currently have two lefties in the bullpen with Brooks Raley and A.J. Minter, but there’s still plenty of room for Lavender. (Realistically, you can see a world where he sticks if the Mets decide to sell at the deadline and send Raley and Minter to contenders.) There’s no rule against three lefties, and if anything, it’s probably a good thing. At the very least, Lavender should join Jonathan Pintaro, Daniel Duarte and others in the group of relievers who ride the express from Syracuse to Queens and back throughout the year.

Mock Drafts Since June 2

MLB.com

Jim Callis of MLB.com projected Aiden Robbins to the Mets with the 27th overall pick in both of his last two mock drafts. Robbins shows a quick bat with strong contact ability and rarely chases out of the zone. He profiles as more hit tool than power right now, though his frame suggests he could add strength and pop as he fills out. An above-average runner, he’s capable of playing all three outfield spots.

• Aiden Robbins ranks 30 on Pipeline, 18 on Baseball America and is unranked on Baseball Prospectus.

Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com projects catcher Daniel Jackson to the Mets in the first round. Outside of Korey Lee in Gross’s first draft, this would be a big departure for both Stearns and Gross. Jackson is a power-over-hit catcher who is a plus baserunner with a good but not great arm. He is not a great receiver and may not be able to stay at catcher. He has taken reps in the outfield.

• Daniel Jackson ranks 39 on Pipeline, 35 on Baseball America and is unranked on Baseball Prospectus.

ESPN

Kiley McDaniel of ESPN projected Brody Bumila, a left-handed pitcher from Bishop Feehan High School to the Mets with their first pick. Bumila underwent internal brace surgery in 2025 and returned in 2026 strong. He has a strong fastball and changeup combination, but will need to develop either his slider or a different breaking pitch if he wants to be a major league starter. He throws strikes but does not really have a feel for spin, which does not fit into the type of pitcher the Mets tend to draft and develop.

• Brody Bumila ranks 19 on Pipeline, 22 on Baseball America and is 14 on Baseball Prospectus.

Bleacher Report

Joel Reuter of Bleacher Report projects outfielder AJ Gracia to the Mets. Gracia is a college hitter who, similar to Carson Benge before being drafted, has tinkered with his swing over the last year to improve bat speed and get to more power. He draws plenty of walks, but it is unclear if he is more patient or more passive. He has played some center field, but likely profiles more as a corner outfielder. He can impact the ball for average and power.

• AJ Gracia ranks 17 on Pipeline, 15 on Baseball America and is 16 on Baseball Prospectus.

The Athletic

Keith Law of The Athletic projects the Mets to draft high school shortstop and right-handed pitcher Archer Horn with their first pick.

Horn is a two-way player who has strong power traits and good athleticism. He could have the potential to stick at shortstop, but may fit better at second or third base. As a pitcher, he throws in the low 90s and can touch 95 miles per hour. His curveball has good but not great spin, and he pairs his changeup well with his fastball. He is committed to Stanford, which is typically a difficult school to pry draftees away from, so he likely would require going over slot.

• Archer Horn ranks 67 on Pipeline, 48 on Baseball America and is unranked on Baseball Prospectus.

Fansided

Mark Powell of Fansided projects the Mets to draft right-handed pitcher Tegan Kuhns with their first pick. Kuhns was previously projected by Keith Law in his first mock draft. He averages 94 miles per hour on his fastball but projects to be able to add velocity, has a very high spin curveball, a slider, a cutter, and a changeup.

• Tegan Kuhns ranks 24 on Pipeline, 23 on Baseball America and is 11 on Baseball Prospectus.

Recap

Aiden Robbins and Archer Horn seem to be the players closest to the type Stearns and Gross have gravitated to over the years. It will be interesting to see if they go against type and draft a prep bat or a pitcher with their first pick. As we get closer to the draft, it will also be interesting to monitor if there is more uniformity with these mock drafts.

Triple-A

The Syracuse Mets defeated the Norfolk Tides in four of six games in their series. With the series win, the Mets climbed back to over .500 at 38-37, and they are in fifth place in the International League East division.

Nick Morabito had a rare power stroke this week, going 7-for-21 with three home runs and four RBIs. Morabito also walked five times and stole four bases without getting caught. Morabito’s Triple-A OPS is up to .779.

Ben Rortvedt also enjoyed a multi-homer week, going 3-for-12 with two home runs and a double. Rortvedt drove in four runs and walked three times. He owns a .769 OPS with Syracuse.

Yonny Hernández also stood out at the plate, going 5-for-14 with three doubles, three walks and a stolen base. Hernández has his OPS up to .716.

Kevin Parada continued his hot play in Syracuse with a .357/.438/.500/.938 slash for the week, with two walks and two doubles.

Francisco Lindor also played a rehab game for Syracuse last week.

Xzavion Curry made two starts and looked generally solid, combining to allow five runs in 12 innings. He struck out eight across his two starts and now has a 4.54 ERA with Syracuse.

Joey Gerber looked excellent in two bullpen appearances, allowing one hit in four scoreless innings. He also walked two and struck out seven. Gerber has mostly struggled this year, though, owning a 6.86 ERA in Triple-A.

Double-A

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies split their six-game series with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Binghamton dropped the first two games before ripping off three straight wins and losing the series finale. The Rumble Ponies are now 27-42 and still in last place in the Eastern League Northeast division.

Jose Ramos led Binghamton’s offense with two homers in a 7-for-21 series. Ramos added a double and a walk, raising his OPS to .697.

Nick Lorusso went 6-for-17 with two doubles and a home run, driving in four runs. Lorusso walked twice and stole a base, improving his OPS to .752.

Chris Suero went just 4-for-16, but he added a double and a home run, and also showed great plate discipline with six walks. Suero also stole a base and now has a .778 OPS.

Jonathan Santucci was stellar in his start, tossing six scoreless innings. Santucci allowed six hits and two walks while striking out seven, lowering his ERA to 3.73.

R.J. Gordon began to turn his season around with two great starts this week, combining to allow three runs in 9 1/3 innings. Gordon allowed 11 baserunners and struck out just five, but he lowered his ERA from 9.19 to 6.84.

Max Green allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings, allowing seven hits and no walks with two strikeouts. Green has a 3.86 ERA in seven appearances with Binghamton.

High-A

The Brooklyn Cyclones had a brutal week against the Wilmington Blue Rocks, getting swept in six games. The Cyclones’ horrid season continues as they sit at 25-40 and in last place in the South Atlantic League North division.

Daiverson Gutierrez was far and away the Cyclones’ best hitter in a series where there weren’t many bright spots. Gutierrez went 5-for-18 with three doubles and a home run, driving in three runs. Gutierrez has not had a good season, owning a .579 OPS.

Corey Collins also had a pretty good week, going 5-for-17 with a double and four walks. Collins continues to display impressive plate discipline and has a .792 OPS.

Dakota Hawkins made two starts and didn’t allow a run, doing so in 7 2/3 innings. He allowed five baserunners and struck out seven. He’s been fantastic in High-A, owning a 2.08 ERA in 14 appearances (four starts).

Ryan Dollar impressed out of the bullpen, allowing no runs in 3 2/3 innings across two appearances. Dollar allowed three hits and three walks with four strikeouts and owns a 3.09 ERA in nine appearances.

Low-A

The St. Lucie Mets only played five games due to rain, but they looked good with a 4-1 record against the Daytona Tortugas. St. Lucie is now 33-33 and tied for second place in the Florida State League East division.

Elian Peña looked strong at the plate, going 5-for-13 with a double, six walks and two stolen bases. Peña now owns a .768 OPS for the year.

Antonio Jimenez also impressed, going 5-for-20 with a home run, two doubles and eight RBIs. Jimenez also recorded three walks and a stolen base. His OPS now sits at .680.

Joel Lara had a fantastic start, allowing no hits in four innings. He gave up just one walk and struck out seven, lowering his ERA to 5.40.

Emilio Obispo continued his strong season, allowing one run in five innings with six strikeouts. Obispo’s ERA in nine appearances (six starts) with St. Lucie is now 1.67.

Jonathan Jimenez allowed three runs (one earned) in 5 1/3 innings. He allowed four hits and three walks while striking out seven. Jimenez owns a 5.14 ERA in five starts with St. Lucie.

FCL Mets

The FCL Mets had a solid week, going 3-1 and improving to 15-19. They sit in third place in the Florida Complex League East division.

Wyatt Vincent had a scorching week at the plate, going 5-for-15 with three homers and six RBIs. Vincent has been great in the FCL, owning an .892 OPS.

Jose Lopez had a strong outing, tossing four scoreless innings in one bullpen appearance. He allowed two hits and a walk while striking out four. Lopez owns a 4.57 ERA in seven appearances this year.

DSL Mets

The DSL Mets Blue went 1-3 this past week to drop to 6-10 on the year. The DSL Mets Orange, on the other hand, went 2-3 and are now 10-6 on the year.

Frank Moreno raked for the DSL Mets Blue, going 10-f0r-19 with two home runs and nine RBIs. Moreno owns a .940 OPS this season. Jhoangel Marquez tossed three scoreless innings with five strikeouts, lowering his ERA to 5.23.

Anthony Delgado had a good week for DSL Mets Orange, going 5-for-10 with a double and four walks. Delgado has an even 1.000 OPS through 11 games. Olmedo Barria looked great out of the bullpen, tossing four hitless innings with four strikeouts. He owns a 3.00 ERA through four appearances.

Morabito has more home runs already this season than he’s had in any other professional season of his career, and he’s hoping he can get back to the big leagues before long.

Pitching – Jonathan Santucci, P Binghamton

Jonathan Santucci also remains one of the Mets’ top prospects. He hasn’t had the season he hoped he would, but he’s been better lately and had one of his best outings of the season this past week. The lefty at his best can be dominant, and he could see himself in Syracuse soon with more dominant outings.

Even though it was a sunny Father’s Day Sunday, the blues kept coming for the Mets affiliates. The organization went 1-3, with progress from rehabbing major leaguers, some positive performances, and overall poor team play. Just Syracuse (Triple-A) picked up a solid 5-3 win, while Binghamton (Double-A), Brooklyn (High-A), and St. Lucie (Single-A) all lost.

Francisco Lindor, Tyrone Taylor, and Ronny Mauricio all continued their rehab assignments with Triple-A Syracuse, each adding positive results at the plate for a win. Lindor had half a dozen chances in the field, handling all perfectly, adding a well-turned double-play.

Elian Peña looks to be finally kicking things back into gear for St. Lucie after what has been a dreadful month of June. The 18-year-old will look to continue stringing hits together, looking to regain the hitting capabilities he had in the first two months of the season.

Lindor took the field for his second, and most likely final rehab start, this time for Syracuse. In his short minor league stint, he went 1-for-8 with a walk, a strikeout, and a stolen base. On the prospect side, Morabito hit his third home run in the last four games, helping to propel Syracuse to a win. In June, he is slashing .262/.368/.462 with seven stolen bases. However, Taylor is on his way back to the club, and Luis Robert Jr. is beginning some form of baseball activities; it is unlikely Morabito gets another chance with the big league club before August.

Duarte returned to the mound for Syracuse in a six-out save situation, his second appearance since his demotion to Triple-A. Despite allowing a run, he was able to complete the save, his second of the season. Pairing that with strong outings from Curry and Lavender helped lead Syracuse to victory.

The Binghamton bats have been dreadful in 2026, especially since A.J. Ewing‘s promotion to the big leagues. However, Suero has managed to reach base fairly consistently, adding three walks in Sunday’s contest. In June, he is slashing .238/.368/ .508 with four home runs and nine RBIs.

Both Peek and Guzman have been elite this season. In June, Peek has a 1.13 ERA with a 1.25 WHIP and a .207 average against across eight innings pitched. On the other hand, Guzman has a 1.23 ERA with a 0.41 WHIP and a .083 average against across 7.1 innings. Although Binghamton lost after the shortstop Young had to pitch in the 11th inning, the two aforementioned pitchers could earn a promotion to Triple-A should their performance continue at this caliber.

High-A

Voit continued what has been a positive stretch for him over his last 10 games at the plate. However, the power numbers are not exactly where you would hope they would be, totaling just three extra base hits. Nonetheless, he is slashing .270/.391/.351 over the span, and can hopefully be the catalyst in the Cyclones turning things around offensively.

Although Hawkins has been solid all season, when the calendar flipped to June, he hit another gear. Over those 14.2 innings, he has allowed just two earned runs, good for a 1.23 ERA. That, paired with a 0.68 WHIP and a .173 average against, makes it seem as though a promotion to Double-A could be in his future, especially considering his age is not on his side, at 26 years old.

Peña has started to get his bat going again over the past three games, after what has been an ugly June. Over the past three weeks, the Mets’ number seven-ranked prospect has been slashing just .212/.400/.269 with three extra base hits and zero home runs. However, his five hits over his last three games are a positive sign for a return to his form over the first two months of the season.

Despite a dreadful performance from the bullpen, Ware turned in one of his best starts as a professional baseball player. Sunday’s game for St. Lucie was just his second scoreless outing of the season, but his June numbers are trending in the right direction. Despite a 4.38 ERA over 12.1 IP, he is holding opponents to a .178 average against. If he could cut down on the walks, he might improve his chances of reaching the next level.
