Triple-A

The Syracuse Mets split their series with the Columbus Clippers, going 3-3 last week. It was a high-scoring set of games, with Columbus outscoring Syracuse 45-44. The Mets are now 17-21 in the second half of the season and 55-58 overall.

Nick Lorusso had a scorching start to his Triple-A career. In his first five games at the level, he went 7-for-18 with three home runs and seven RBIs, also adding two walks. Lorusso owns an .843 OPS between Double-A and Triple-A this year.

Jose Ramos went 5-for-20, recording a double, a triple and two home runs. Ramos also drove in five runs and added a walk. Ramos owns a .737 OPS between Double-A and Triple-A.

Vidal Bruján batted .500 in the series, going 7-for-14 with four doubles. He also walked five times and stole two bases. Bruján has just a .690 OPS in Triple-A this year.

Jonathan Santucci made his second Triple-A start, allowing four runs (three earned) in 5 1/3 innings. He allowed four hits and four walks while recording six strikeouts. Santucci now owns a 3.69 ERA between Double-A and Triple-A.

Joe Jacques looked solid out of the bullpen, making two appearances and tossing three scoreless innings. He allowed a hit and two walks with one strikeout. Jacques owns a 4.58 ERA with Syracuse.

Double-A

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies had perhaps their best series of the season, sweeping the Hartford Yard Goats in six games. Binghamton outscored Hartford 44-14 in these six games, including a game in which they won 23-3. The Rumble Ponies are now 17-22 in the second half of the season and 44-64 overall.

Billy Amick had a scorching week for the Rumble Ponies, going 5-for-17 with four homers and 11 RBIs. He also recorded three walks and a stolen base. Amick owns an .860 OPS this year, and a 1.387 OPS in seven games in the Mets organization.

Mitch Voit also continued his insane hot streak since his promotion to Double-A. In this series, he went 11-for-18 with three doubles, four walks and three stolen bases. Voit’s Double-A OPS in 11 games is now 1.483.

Noah Hall was excellent in his start, tossing six scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts. He allowed just two hits and three walks and now has a 3.27 ERA in his first two starts with Binghamton.

R.J. Gordon was also great, allowing one run in six innings. He allowed three hits and a walk, while also recording 10 strikeouts. Gordon has now lowered his ERA to 5.64.

Channing Austin joined Hall and Gordon with an effective six-inning start, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. Austin now has a 4.67 ERA in seven starts with Binghamton.

In his first start with the Mets organization, Gary Gill Hill looked great with five scoreless innings. He allowed three hits and two walks with four strikeouts. Gill Hill now has a 4.29 ERA this season.

High-A

The Brooklyn Cyclones also earned a series win, going 4-2 against the Wilmington Blue Rocks. The Cyclones are now 21-20 in the second half of the season and 46-60 overall.

Like his fellow new Mets prospect Billy Amick in Double-A, Aidan Smith also launched four home runs in his latest series. Smith went 10-for-22, also recording a double, three walks and two stolen bases. He led the team with eight RBIs and also scored six runs. Smith now has a .748 OPS this season.

Sammy Stafura also looked great in his first week as a Met, going 6-for-18 with four doubles and a walk. He owns a .961 OPS on the season.

Yonatan Henriquez went 7-for-18, recording two doubles, a home run and seven RBIs. He recorded two walks and two stolen bases, and now has a .599 OPS this year.

Nicolas Carreno was excellent in his start, tossing 5 2/3 hitless innings. He walked five but also struck out eight. Carreno now has a 5.26 ERA in nine games in High-A.

Luke Gabrysh made his Mets organization debut, allowing three runs in four innings. He allowed seven baserunners but recorded an impressive nine strikeouts. Gabrysh owns a 5.23 ERA this season.

Low-A

The St. Lucie Mets played a seven-game series against the Daytona Tortugas, making up a game from earlier in the season. The Mets went 3-4 to drop to 16-25 in the second half of the season and 49-58 overall.

Julio Zayas had an excellent week at the plate, going 8-for-21 with three home runs. He also recorded a double, three walks, and eight RBIs. Zayas now owns a .742 OPS this season.

Elian Peña looked great, going 8-for-20 with three doubles, two walks and a stolen base. Peña now has a .762 OPS on the season, which he’s playing entirely at 18 years old.

Kuhio Aloy made his professional debut and went 4-f0r-14 with a double and a home run, also adding two walks and four RBIs. Aloy was the Mets’ 11th-round pick this year.

Christian Rodriguez tossed 4 1/3 scoreless innings in his lone outing of the week. He allowed four hits and a walk while striking out four. He has a 4.52 ERA this year.

Zack Mack looked good in three appearances, tossing 3 2/3 scoreless innings. He allowed a hit and two walks while striking out two. He owns a 2.58 ERA in 27 games with St. Lucie.

DSL Mets

The DSL Mets Blue had a strong week, going 4-1. They are now 20-30 this season. The DSL Mets Orange also went 4-1, moving to 27-23 on the season.

Royner Bravo had an excellent week for DSL Mets Blue, going 11-for-19 with a double, two triples, four walks and two stolen bases. He also drove in five runs and scored six. Bravo owns an .844 OPS this summer. On the mound, Jose Vielma tossed five innings, allowing an unearned run on just one hit. He also struck out three and has a 3.60 ERA in four games.

Sebastian Toro led the way offensively for DSL Mets Orange, going 5-for-17 with a double and three walks. Toro drove in a team-high eight RBIs and scored three runs. Toro owns a .728 OPS this year. On the mound, Olmedo Barria pitched five shutout innings, allowing four hits with three strikeouts. Barria owns a 2.18 ERA in 12 games.

Players of the Week

Offense – Billy Amick, 1B/3B Binghamton

Billy Amick has done nothing but mash since joining the Mets organization. He has five home runs in 29 at-bats with Double-A Binghamton and has hit the most home runs this season of anyone in the Mets organization. The 23-year-old will look to have a strong end to the season, which could set him up to play in Triple-A next year.

Pitching – Noah Hall, P Binghamton

Noah Hall did not pitch particularly well in Brooklyn this year, but he’s been great in two starts with Binghamton so far. The 25-year-old is an older prospect but looked great last year and has a chance to settle in to finish this season.

Billy Amick (A.J. Minter trade) has hit four home runs in his past three consecutive games, while other new Mets like Émilien Pitre, Sammy Stafura and Aidan Smith continue to tally up the hits. All in all, the future looks extremely bright in Queens.

Triple-A Syracuse

Since his promotion to Syracuse, Lorusso is slashing .389/.450/.889 across five games with seven hits in 18 at-bats. The 25-year-old is on a power kick, hitting five home runs in August between Binghamton and Syracuse. With Clifford’s struggles continuing into August, Lorusso is a name to keep an eye on as the Mets look for possible long-term solutions at first base.

After posting a dazzling 1.69 ERA in 28 games with Syracuse in 2026, Dylan Ross has struggled to replicate those numbers. He began the season on the injured list due to arm fatigue and is posting a 2.08 WHIP this season compared to a 1.03 WHIP with Syracuse in 2025.

Double-A Binghamton

The new crop of Mets continues to shine. Billy Amick has been on an absolute tear, clobbering four home runs in his past three games. Of five games in the Mets organization, Pitre has multi-hit games in four. While he hasn’t displayed his speed on the base paths yet (32 stolen bases with Rays’ affiliates in 2026), it’s only a matter of time.

The New York native Stafura is off to a hot start in the Mets organization, tallying a hit in every game he’s appeared in. Like Stafura, Smith is right at home in Brooklyn, tallying 23 total bases in his six games with the team. Smith’s homer is his fourth since joining the Mets from the Rays organization in the Freddy Peralta trade.

• LHP Daviel Hurtado: 4.1 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K (2.63 ERA)
• RHP Hunter Hodges: 1.0 IP,  H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K (3.69 ERA)

Three fielding errors behind him cost Hurtado on the mound, but he continues to enjoy a solid season in Brooklyn.

Single-A St. Lucie

Peña owns an 11-game hit streak dating back to July 25. In that time, he has six multi-hit games and has scored 12 runs.

The walks continue to plague Lara in 2026. His 46 BB is seventh-most in the Florida State League.

Meanwhile, the trade deadline acquisitions just keep performing. Most notably, consensus top-100 prospect, Jefferson Rojas, posted his first extra-base hit with the organization and went 3-for-4 in Binghamton’s (Double-A) slim defeat. Meanwhile, in Brooklyn’s (High-A) first game of the day, Sammy Stafura and Aidan Smith combined to combined to go 5-for-8.

Triple-A

Mauricio stole the show in Syracuse’s 13-run outburst Saturday. He went a perfect 4-for-4 with three extra-base hits and five RBIs. He is now hitting .292 with a .921 OPS in Triple-A in 2026.

Ramos, 25, was called up on August 4 and has swung the bat well. He hit .218 with a .722 in Double-A. However, is 5-for-17 with four extra-base hits to begin his Triple-A career.

• RHP Tobias Myers: 3.1 IP, 4 H, 4 R (3 ER), 2 BB, 4 SO (5.40 ERA)
• RHP Brian Metoyer: 0.2 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 1 SO (4.50 ERA)

A plethora of arms that will either see, or have seen, major league time this season pitched on Saturday for Syracuse. Myers started the game but needed 61 pitches to get through 3 1/3 innings, allowing four runs with two walks. His Triple-A ERA is up to 5.40.

Following him, Warren, who is still on a rehab assignment, tossed two strong innings. He will likely be back in Queens in the near future.

Double-A

It was another splendid day for a Binghamton offense that has come alive since the trade deadline. The group combined for six runs and 10 runs.

Leading the way was Jefferson Rojas; a top-100 prospect and acquired in the Clay Holmes/Tyrone Taylor trade from the Cubs. Rojas posted his first extra-base hit with the organization, a triple that gave the Rumble Ponies a lead momentarily. He is now slashing .269/.337/.458 (.795 OPS) in Double-A this season.

Amick also added another home run. He hit his fourth homer since joining the organization in the A.J. Minter trade from Minnesota. He now has 27 homers and 82 RBIs on the season in Double-A. His OPS is .851.

• RHP Bryce Conley: 3.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 SO (6.16 ERA)

Davis, acquired in the Huascar Brazobán trade, made his organizational debut and struggled. He threw three innings and allowed three runs on five hits and a walk. He is listed at 6-foot-9 and 234 pounds.

High-A

Game 1: Wilmington Blue Rocks 6 (53-51), Brooklyn Cyclones 5 (45-59)

Box Score

Stafura and Smith combined to propel the Cyclones’ offense to five runs in their first game of a Saturday doubleheader.

Stafura, acquired in the Luke Weaver trade, is 5-for-12 to begin his Mets career. Meanwhile, Smith, acquired in the Freddy Peralta trade, had homered in three straight games and three of four since joining the organization.

• RHP Luke Gabrysh: 4.0 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 9 SO (5.23 ERA)

Gabrysh made his organization debut. He only lasted four innings and allowed three earned runs, however, he struck out nine and induced an impressive 16 swings-and-misses which was the most at the High-A level on Saturday. The Wilmington, Delaware native was acquired from Philadelphia in the Brooks Raley trade.

Game 2: Wilmington Blue Rocks 4 (54-51), Brooklyn Cyclones 0 (45-60)

In the second game of the doubleheader, the Cyclones only mustered three hits while getting shutout. Smith led off the game and has one of the team’s three hits. He finished his doubleheader 3-for-7.

• RHP Ryan Dollar: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 0 SO (3.12 ERA)

Dollar, an undrafted free agent, has excelled with High-A Brooklyn after spending time with St. Lucie (Single-A) to begin the season. The former Houston Cougar has a 3.24 ERA across 25 High-A innings to go along with 34 strikeouts. The opposition is hitting a mere .184 against him.

Zayas followed up his walk-off homer on Friday with another homer in the first game of St. Lucie’s doubleheader on Saturday. Zayas leads the team with 53 RBIs. He is slashing .391/.440/.826 (1.266 OPS) in August.

Robbins, the Mets’ third-round pick in 2026, has had a nice start to his professional career. He went 1-for-2 with a walk in game one.

• RHP Nathan Hall: 1.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 SO (5.40 ERA)
• RHP Miguel Mejias: 1.2 IP, 10 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 SO (3.66 ERA)

Mejias, 21, is putting together a nice debut season at the Single-A level for St. Lucie. After 1 2/3 innings scoreless on Saturday, he has a 3.66 ERA with 47 strikeouts across 39 1/3 innings. The 21 walks are a concern, however.

Game 2 (Aug. 4 makeup): Daytona Tortugas 15 (46-60), St. Lucie Mets 7 (49-57)

Aloy hit his first professional home run in the second game of St. Lucie’s doubleheader. The 21-year-old was the Mets’ 11th-round pick out of Arkansas this year. He is, however, only 3-for-18 to begin his career with St. Lucie.

Gomez, 20, is becoming quite a story. He reached base three times and stole two bases in St. Lucie’s second game. He is now hitting .325 with a .862 OPS and has stolen 39 bases.

• RHP Tyler McLoughlin: 2.2 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 2 SO (9.17 ERA)
• LHP Wilmer Lugo: 0.2 IP, 1 H, 3 ER, 4 BB, 0 SO (40.50 ERA)
• LHP Luis Sotillo: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 1 SO (17.18 ERA)

It was a disaster of a nightcap for the St. Lucie pitching. McLoughlin, Lugo, and Sotillo combined to allow 11 earned runs on seven hits and a staggering eight walks.

Dominican Summer League

DSL Mets Orange 3 (26-23), DSL Angels 2 (28-19)

Box Score

• C Cesar Acosta: 1-3, RBI (.849 OPS)
• CF Jhonael Cuello: 1-3, 2B (.831 OPS)

Despite the victory, the DSL Mets Orange offense was quiet, mustering only three hits. Acosta drove in his 30th run of the season and his 1-for-3 effort has the 18-year-old hitting .271 with an .849 OPS on the season. It is his second full season in the DSL.

• RHP Anderson Ozuna: 3.2 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO (2.77 ERA)
• LHP Cesar Morales: 3.0 IP, 0 H, 1 R (0 ER), 4 BB, 3 SO (1.56 ERA)

Morales, 19, lowered his season ERA to 1.56 through 17 1/3 innings. The left-handed pitcher has struck out 26 over his work split between DSL Mets Orange and Blue.

DSL Mets Blue 5 (19-30), DSL Giants Black 0 (31-18)

Box Score

• CF Royner Bravo: 2-3, 2 RBI, 3B, BB (.844 OPS)
• C Frank Moreno: 2-3, RBI (.782 OPS)

Bravo, 17, stayed red hot on Saturday, tripling and driving in two runs. His 2-for-3 day raised his average to .299 and he has a .844 OPS. Bravo has also stolen 12 bases. He is batting .480 with an 1.256 OPS.

• RHP Josbel Torrez: 4.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 SO (6.75 ERA)
• RHP Esteban Mejia: 3.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 4 SO (5.18 ERA)

Two pitchers, Torrez and Mejia, combined for a no-hitter (seven innings) for DSL Mets Blue on Saturday. They combined to allow three walks and strike out five in the effort.

Every Syracuse starter reached base, with three players scoring at least two runs. A four-run eighth inning helped secure the win. Lorusso is putting himself in the conversation for September call-up consideration with his strong 2026 season.

• RHP Jack Wenninger (4.43 ERA) 5 IP, 3 H, 6 ER, 3 BB, 6 K, 3 HR allowed (52 of 91 pitches for strikes)

Wenninger put up an even more impressively odd line than Jonah Tong did on Wednesday, allowing three hits – and all three were home runs. His control was not strong today as he walked three batters and hit another. One could wonder if Wenninger would perform better in Flushing, since Syracuse has been his kryptonite all season.

JT Benson has been a great story, as he has gone from an undrafted player in Low-A to Double-A in a single season while slashing .261/.345/.519 across three levels.

1/3 of the trade return for Freddy Peralta, Hill was great on Thursday – and even if he wasn’t, his offense would have put up enough runs to win a football game.

Nick Morabito’s struggles have continued into August; he slashed .230/.367/.311 in July and is 3-for-29 over his last seven games.

It was a one-sided home run barrage in Syracuse, and Jonah Tong was on the wrong end of it. Tong made it through five innings of work but gave up five homers, including back-to-back-to-back in the fourth. The Mets’ top pitching prospect seemed to be hitting a stride to close out July, allowing just three runs over his final three starts, before getting roughed up Wednesday. Jonathan Pintaro delivered an impressive scoreless relief outing, striking out three.

Stafura, acquired in the Luke Weaver trade on Monday, picked up his first hit in his first at-bat. Aidan Smith has started strong with the Cyclones; in two games, he’s now 3-for-7 and hit his first homer on Wednesday. Cole Mathis drove in a couple of runs with his first hit in the two games since coming off the IL.

This year’s third-round draft pick, Aiden Robbins, has had a strong showing through four games. He is slashing .375/.444/.438 and has a double and three RBIs. Bohan Adderley had another multi-hit game with St. Lucie, his second of the four games he has played.

Ernesto Mercedes struck out four over his two innings as well and now has struck out 8 over his last two appearances.

TRIPLE-A: SYRACUSE METS

HITTER OF THE MONTH: CHRISTOPHER MOREL

Statistics: 20 G, .318/.400/.636/1.036, 5 HR, 6 2B, 13 RBI, 9 BB, 18 SO

Do you remember that the Mets have Christopher Morel? Signed as a minor league free agent on July 1, Morel was sent straight to Syracuse and started mashing. He’s got pop, and he made a decent bit of non-homer contact this month too. This also doesn’t include his three-home-run game from August 2, either, so he’s really been productive in Triple-A since joining the organization.

The story with Morel has always been the same: When at his best, he can be a good major league hitter who makes loud contact. When at his worst, he can’t make contact. The Marlins saw his worst this season when he struck out 38.4% of the time in 22 big league games, ultimately leading to his release. His strikeout rate was only 24% in July, which is definitely an improvement, but it’s still against Triple-A pitching. At this point, we need to see it in the majors to believe there’s any real change. He has also never been able to find a defensive home, and has split his time between the two corner infield spots for Syracuse. Maybe he gets a chance at some point if there’s an injury, but I don’t know how likely it is.

PITCHER OF THE MONTH: JONAH TONG

Jonah Tong needed this. After putting up perhaps the best season of any minor league pitcher in 2025 and even earning a big league look, Tong’s taken a substantial step back in 2026. He’s walking too many hitters (a consequence of just not throwing enough strikes) and getting hit more. The new pitches he’s been working on just haven’t been as effective as they need to be. July was at least a step in the right direction.

Is he back? I don’t think I’m willing to say that yet. His K-BB% in July was almost exactly the same as it has been all year, so there is a possibility he just got more fortunate batted ball luck. With that said, it’s at least encouraging to see nonetheless. His last two starts suggest there could be a real improvement, giving up one earned run over 9 and 2/3 innings with an improved K-BB%. Most of those gains came from strikeouts, though, as he still walked 15% of batters. That’s just too high.

It was a great bounce-back month for Noah Hall, who was having a tough season repeating High-A. It’s really hard to get much better allowing a single earned run and just nine hits in 23 and 1/3 innings. Hall’s biggest issue is he doesn’t throw enough strikes for someone who sits around 90-91 mph, and while he made slight improvements in July, they weren’t big enough to feel truly encouraged by. He’s also finally up to Double-A to start August.

Having converted to a starter in 2025, he is quickly approaching his career high in innings pitched and is being load managed, but it is hard to argue that this year has not been a success so far for Austin.

The Mets clearly chased upside as well as player types they have a track record of optimizing. They filled much-needed holes in their farm system and grabbed both players who can help in the near term and in the future.

Future or Current Potential Top 100 Prospects

3B/SS Jefferson Rojas

Jefferson Rojas made the back half of some top 100 lists in the offseason and may even stay on some when the new lists come out in a few weeks. He gives you solid defense at third base and second base and could fill in at shortstop as needed. He is average to above average at pretty much everything and could be in the majors as soon as next year. He has an argument to be listed as the Mets’ best prospect going forward and solidifies a weak portion of the Mets farm system.

2B Émilien Pitre

Émilien Pitre is the other player that has an argument to be the Mets’ best prospect and does not profile too dissimilar to Rojas. He has a better hit tool, but Rojas has a bit more power potential. The comps I have heard for Pitre are Pedro Ramirez and Jeff McNeil. His stock has skyrocketed this year, and he is another prospect that could be in the majors as soon as next year if he continues what he is doing.

SS Sammy Stafura

It is hard to find a more boom-or-bust player traded this deadline than Sammy Stafura. He has plus power with a 107.5 miles per hour 90% exit velocity alongside his plus defense at shortstop. He underwent a swing change roughly six weeks before he was traded, and time will tell if that is sticky or not. If so, he should skyrocket up Top 100 lists and be an everyday shortstop for the Mets in the not too distant future. If the swing change does not hold, he is likely not a major leaguer.

1B/3B Cole Mathis

The only thing holding Cole Mathis (David Peterson trade) back is injury. He has had elbow issues since he underwent Tommy John surgery, which may prevent him from being able to play third base. He projects to have the bat to play first base with a solid hit tool and a solid power tool. He recently returned from his latest injured list stint, so the Mets will get a better look at him going forward.

Upside Future Starters

RHP Gabe Davis

A shoulder injury led to Gabe Davis getting drafted in the eighth round instead of the first or second like he was initially expected. He has struggled since he was drafted, but he throws in the high 90s. It is important to remember you should never evaluate prospects just on ERA—they have minor league defenses behind them, and they are playing in minor league ballparks. Davis has a starter’s repertoire centered around a plus fastball and a plus slider and has continually improved the further he has been away from his surgery.

RHP Gary Gill Hill

Gary Gill Hill is the type of pitcher the Mets have had success developing. He throws from a low slot with a good feel for spin. He has good east/west movement and shares some traits with Brandon Sproat. He throws multiple good breaking balls and should be a good fit to be optimized by the Mets.

RHP Luke Gabrysh

When you acquire players to optimize, it is always good to grab some pitchers from organizations that are not good at developing that archetype. Luke Gabrysh (Brooks Raley trade) is another low slot pitcher with a good feel for spin. He throws three different fastball shapes, all with good velocity and excels at generating swing and miss.

Welcome to the Bullpen

RHP Zach Franklin

There is a good chance Zach Franklin will be in the bullpen any day. He throws a good fastball and a good slider from a three-quarter slot and is great at generating swing and miss while limiting walks. It would not surprise me if he pitches similarly to Huascar Brázoban in 2027.

RHP Chayce McDermott

The Mets are now the fourth organization to take a shot on Chayce McDermott (Ben Rortvedt trade) because his stuff is amazing; he just has no idea where it is going. His breaking balls are electric, and he throws his fastballs with good velocity. He could end up just throwing a few innings and then getting cut (he’s already up with the MLB team), but you want to take flyers on interesting potential future relievers after selling at the deadline. If the Mets can be the team to finally help him figure out any level of command, that is exactly what you will get.

Swing Change Incoming

OF Aidan Smith

Aidan Smith has struggled heavily in his pro career. He looks better under the hood, but it by no means is amazing. He is one of the clearest “needs a swing change” candidates the Mets got, and ideally they have a plan to help him get to the power he was projected with when he was drafted in the fourth round and traded for Randy Arozarena. At the least, he is a plus defensive outfielder and a good runner.

OF John Spikerman

John Spikerman is a Gold Glove level defender in the outfield and an incredible runner. He may never hit and could have a role on a major league roster as a super utility player with plus defense that can also make an impact as a pinch runner. He does have average-ish contact rates and gets walks but his power is well below average. At his best, he may end up just being a better version of Nick Morabito.

INF Bruin Agbayani

Bruin Agbayani (yes, Benny’s son) has a plus hit tool but has yet to really develop any power. If he could adjust his swing to tap into some more power, or potentially just fill out a bit more, he could develop into a potential major league infielder.

OF Billy Amick

Billy Amick is the opposite of Bruin because he gets to incredible power but struggles heavily to make consistent contact, running absolutely abysmal zone-contact rates—some of the worst in all of the minors. We have seen with Ryan Clifford that even if you hit the ball incredibly hard, it is difficult to be successful above Double-A with contact rates that poor. So, Amick will likely need to adjust his swing to make more consistent contact if he ever wants to make the majors.

Triple-A

The Syracuse Mets went 2-4 in last week’s series against the Rochester Red Wings. The Mets fall further below .500 in the second half of the season at 14-18. They are 52-55 overall.

Christopher Morel remains red-hot with the bat, going 6-for-17 this past week with three home runs, a double and two walks. Morel drove in six runs to lead the team, and he has a 1.174 OPS in 21 games with Syracuse. With recent Mets moves, he may see himself in the majors soon.

Christian Arroyo went 5-for-15 in four games played, launching a home run and recording a walk and two stolen bases. Arroyo continues to serve as veteran depth in Triple-A, owning a .764 OPS this season.

Jonah Tong looked dominant in his start, tossing five scoreless innings. Tong looked like his typical self, allowing just four baserunners and striking out seven. He still owns a brutal 5.24 ERA this season. He’ll surely have plenty of opportunity at the MLB level after the Mets dealt two of their starters the last couple of fays.

Jonathan Santucci had a pretty good Triple-A debut, allowing two runs in four innings. He struggled with command, allowing five walks and 10 total baserunners, but he also struck out seven. Between Double-A and his one Triple-A start, Santucci owns a 3.61 ERA this season.

Matt Turner was solid out of the bullpen, allowing no runs in four innings across two appearances. He allowed just two hits and hit a batter, allowing no walks. He also struck out two, and he now owns a 4.29 ERA with Syracuse.

Double-A

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies lost their series against the Reading Fightin Phils, going just 2-4. Binghamton was able to salvage the series after losing each of the first three games. They are now 11-22 in the second half of the season and 38-64 overall.

Nick Lorusso showed off his power, going 6-for-21 with three homers and eight RBIs, leading the team in both categories. Lorusso has been one of the organization’s most productive power bats this season, and he now owns 19 home runs and an .814 OPS on the year.

Corey Collins continued his upward trajectory by going 6-for-17 with a triple, a home run and four walks. The slugger owns an .825 OPS between High-A and Double-A this year.

In his first two games since being traded, Billy Amick (A.J. Minter deal) went 3-for-7 with a home run and a walk. He is now, easily, the Mets’ organizational home run leader.

R.J. Gordon delivered one of his best starts of the year, allowing three runs in seven innings. Gordon allowed six hits but notably didn’t walk anybody, and he also struck out seven. Gordon still has just a 6.09 ERA this year.

Carlos Guzman had a good week out of the bullpen, tossing three scoreless innings across two appearances. Guzman allowed a hit and a walk while striking out three. He owns a 2.38 ERA this year for Binghamton.

High-A

The Brooklyn Cyclones split their six-game set with the Winston-Salem Dash. The Dash won the run differential game, outscoring the Cyclones 42-35. The Cyclones are now 17-18 in the second half of the season and 42-58 overall.

Like Mitch Voit, Randy Guzman mashed immediately following a promotion. In his first five games with Brooklyn, Guman went 9-for-20 with a double, a home run and two walks. He also drove in five runs. Between three minor league levels, Guzman owns an .886 OPS in 70 games this season.

Jacob Reimer also had a good week as he continues to work his way back from injury. One of the Mets’ top position player prospects, Reimer went 5-for-15 with two doubles and a home run. He also walked twice. Before his injury, Reimer had a .723 OPS in Double-A.

Colin Houck played in just three games, but he made the most of his opportunities by going 6-for-12 with a triple and a stolen base. Houck has struggled massively to a .605 OPS this season.

Emilio Obispo shined in his first High-A start with eight strikeouts and just one run allowed in 4 2/3 innings in his start. Obispo allowed just one hit, one walk and one hit batsman. In 15 total appearances this year, he has a 2.02 ERA.

Bryce Jenkins looked good out of the bullpen, allowing a run in four innings across two appearances. He allowed just one hit and no walks while striking out five. Jenkins has a 1.99 ERA with Brooklyn this year.

Low-A

The St. Lucie Mets and Dunedin Blue Jays were only able to play five games, with the series finale being rained out. The Blue Jays won the series 3-2, outscoring the Mets 34-32. St. Lucie is now 13-21 in the second half of the season and 46-54 overall.

Elian Peña had a great week at the plate, going 6-for-17 with a double, a home run and two walks. He also led the team with five RBIs. Peña now owns a .748 OPS this season.

Ninth-round pick from this year’s draft, Ryan Tayman, had a great professional debut this past week. Playing in just three games, he went 6-for-13 with two doubles, a home run and a walk. He also drove in four runs.

Mets’ third-round pick from this year’s draft, Aiden Robbins, had a quieter professional debut but still looked good. He went 4-for-12 with a double and a walk, as well as three RBIs.

Nathan Hall looked great in three innings in his start, allowing no runs on one hit and one walk. He recorded just one strikeout and has a 3.27 ERA this season.

Elwis Mijares allowed one run in 4 1/3 innings across two appearances this past week. He allowed 10 baserunners but also struck out six. He owns a 4.91 ERA this season.

DSL Mets

The DSL Mets Blue struggled once again this past week, going 1-4 to fall to 16-29 on the season. The DSL Mets Orange were a little better, going 2-2 to move to 23-22 this season.

Dayron Oramas went 8-for-20 with two doubles, two triples, a home run and eight RBIs for the DSL Mets Blue in a really productive week. He raised his OPS to .844 for the year. On the mound, Arnaldo Tejeda tossed 3 1/3 hitless innings with just one walk allowed and two strikeouts. Tejeda owns a 12.15 ERA.

Wandy Asigen had a great week at the plate for DSL Mets Orange, going 5-for-14 with three home runs and a triple. He also walked three times and stole a base. In his first 21 games in the Mets organization, he has a .981 OPS. On the mound, Cesar Morales allowed two runs (one earned) in 5 2/3 innings, striking out a whopping 11 batters. He owns a 2.38 ERA in six games this summer.

Players of the Week

Offense – Mitch Voit, 2B Binghamton

Mitch Voit is really coming into his own this year after struggling in his first 22 professional games last season. He leads the organization in stolen bases and has a season OPS just below .800 after his roaring debut with Binghamton. The former first-round pick will look to keep this momentum going down the stretch this season.

Pitching – R.J. Gordon, P Binghamton

R.J. Gordon has struggled mightily this season, but he delivered a lengthy and effective outing in his last start. Just one year removed from having a 3.36 ERA in 26 games, Gordon has an ERA above 6.00 this season and might be a big rebound candidate in 2027.

Syracuse was held to only three hits in their 3-1 loss on Saturday. The lone run came courtesy of a solo shot by Senger in the sixth. It was Senger’s ninth of the season; a career-best for Senger across his eight season minor league career.

Santucci, 23, made his first career start at the Triple-A level and endured four eventful innings. He allowed two runs and walked five but struck out seven. He induced 11 swing-and-misses.

Following Santucci, several different relievers who will likely feature at some point to end the season in Queens, made an appearance. Núñez and Yan each posted scoreless innings. Yan threw four pitches over 100 mph and since he was added to the 40-man roster recently, his Queens debut should be in the near future.

In the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday, the Binghamton offense exploded for 10 runs and 12 hits.

Leading the way was Lorusso, who continued his terrific season. The former ninth-round pick in 2023 hit two home runs and drove in five runs. His season OPS is up to .825; a large improvement on his .680 figure for Binghamton in 2025.

Collins, a sixth-round pick in 2024, is steadily rising through the ranks and was promoted on July 21. He has excelled since joining Binghamton and his 2-for-3 performance in the first game on Saturday rose his OPS to 1.186. He is 12-for-33 for Binghamton with four extra-base hits. He had a .791 OPS for Brooklyn (High-A) prior to being promoted.

Amick, who was acquired on July 31 from the Minnesota Twins, made his Binghamton debut with a bang in the second game on Saturday’s doubleheader. Amick crushed a two-run homer in the seventh inning. The 23-year-old has now hit 24 home runs in Double-A this season. That figure ranks in the top-five of all Double-A hitters. His season OPS sits at .834.

Correa has played at three different levels in the Mets’ system this year. Despite allowing three earned runs over 1 1/3 innings on Saturday, he has a 3.44 ERA and 44 strikeouts across 26 total games and 34 innings this season. He has thrown seven innings in Triple-A, 18 1/3 innings in Double-A, and 8 2/3 innings in High-A.

Both Reimer and Ibáñez continued rehab assignments on Saturday for High-A Brooklyn. Each also had two hits apiece. Reimer, who has played at least one game at every level between the Florida Complex League and Brooklyn in his rehab is 8-for-22. It has been a struggle in Double-A prior to injury (.723 OPS).

Jenkins was superb on Saturday, working two perfect innings and striking out four. The 17th-round pick in 2023 has been one of the better pitchers in High-A this season as he owns a 1.99 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, and .126 batting average against through 32 games and 40 2/3 innings of relief.

Single-A

St. Lucie Mets 6 (46-54), Dunedin Blue Jays 3 (47-52) – Final 10

Tayman continued a strong start to his professional career by driving in two runs and adding a double on Saturday. Smith III, also a draftee in this year’s draft, stole a base and reached twice.

Meanwhile, Mathis, acquired in the David Peterson trade, continued his rehab assignment. He reached base three times but has struggled with St. Lucie with a .188 average and .488 OPS.

• RHP Zack Mack: 2.0 IP, 0 H, 1 BB, 2 SO (2.86 ERA)

Mack, 23, was a 16th-round pick in the 2025 draft out of Loyola Marymount. After two hitless innings on Saturday, he lowered his ERA to 2.86 across 34 2/3 innings. He noticed his fifth win of the season as St. Lucie outlasted Dunedin in extra innings.

Dominican Summer League

DSL-Blue Jays Red 13 (25-17), DSL-Mets Blue 2 (16-28)

Box Score

DSL-Mets Blue were limited to only three hits on Saturday. Oramas and Michalle Mercedes were the lone hitters to drive in a run.

Oramas, 17, is hitting .314 across his first 86 professional at-bats.
